wimbornesaint Posted 16 May, 2012 Share Posted 16 May, 2012 I am attending my first Cricket match at the Rose Bowl next month, and want to use public transport as I'd like to have a few beers! It is not very clear from the RB website/bus operators which route to use and whether extra services are put on for big matches, as I'd imagine the buses get pretty full. Has anyone got any experience and hints/tips of attending using public transport from the West? I am currently planning on a train from Poole to Sothampton Parkway. Cheers

Whether arriving at Southampton Airport Parkway, Southampton Central Station or Hedge End Station; there are travel options available to get you to and from The Ageas Bowl. Southampton Central and Hedge End Stations – First Bus provide an enhanced service to and from The Ageas Bowl on matchdays. Just look out for signs to the 8A bus stop when exiting the stations. The 8A also provides services to The Ageas Bowl from Southampton City Centre, Woolston, Bitterne and Hedge End.
