What a complete joke of a f*cking company.

The Mrs has sat in with our 5 month old for 12 hours waiting for a delivery from Mothercare (through Yodel) and was told 5 times it was out for delivery only for 9PM to roll round and no delivery (new pushchair).

Useless d!ckwads then said all they can do is rearrange delivery for tomorrow...another 12 hours to waste.

Just looked at the reviews on tintetnet and they're all shocking

Ordered a washing machine. Paid for specific time slot. Washing machine doesn't come.

Phone supplier, supplier phones Yodel, Yodel have no record of said washing machine. Supplier refunds me.

Three days later yet an automated call from Yodel regarding delivery of a washing machine. I phone Yodel and say don't deliver. Get home from college and washing machine is sat outside my patio doors.

Phone Yodel & tell them that washing machine needs to be collected and they agree.

Two weeks later still no collection despite arranging it three times. Phone Yodel only to be told that the washing machine has been collected.

Sell washing machine on ebay.

Absolute dog shyt.

When got an iPad of Ebay last year. it was delivered (or not) by this lot.

Even had an online tracking thing.....it claimed it was delivered and signed for by me...which it was not.

after a week of me harassing them and demanding to see the signature slip..they confirmed that it was delivered to the completely wrong road.....luckily after they told which rd...I went round there and they still had it for me..also saying they were trying to get someone from this lot to collect it

I guess the lesson here is look at the reviews before you use a service rather than after

Thanks for the advice.

Problem being we bought said item in store and wasn't told who delivery company were until after we had paid, otherwise I'd have told them to poke it

Had similar problem with what was supposed to have been a next day delivery from Yodel. Didn't get my parcel after 3 days and called the supplier who considered it lost and sent out another using Parcelforce instead which did arrive the next day.

Another day later and Yodel delivered my original one! Useless!

Went to return the original back to supplier but they let me keep it as a goodwill gesture! So a bit of good came out of the bad.

Cracking.

Can't see mothercare doing this with a £300 pushchair tho. Nice if they did.

Last month a next day item sent to me took 15 days ! It was on watch dog, and BBC south news. You could argue that mothercare should have known that this company could not meet the terms and conditions of sale.

until about 3 months ago i had never heard of this company, now the name pops up all over the place.

Its just DHL rebranded. A couple of months ago there were videos posted on youtube of Yodel/Dhl staff throwing parcels around in thier depot. I think you will find most of their drivers are self employed now as well.

They were on the local news a few weeks ago.

Anonymous employees were telling of a mountain of undelivered parcels at their local warehouse, so when I ordered a toaster from Amazon and saw that Yodel were delivering it, I feared the worst.

I must have been one of the lucky ones as it arrived on time.

Almost. It's Home Delivery Network rebranded when they purchased 2 of DHL's subsidiaries.

I sympathise. The only way we customers can affect this is by gettng into the habit of routinely asking the retailer who they use for deliveries and then saying 'no sale' if they use yodel, who are indeed rubbish. In fact most of these firms are worse than the good old royal mail in my experience... just cheaper for the retailer.

Absolutely true. The argument for breaking up the Royal Mail monopoly was that prices would fall and service would be better. In fact imo Royal Mail is as good as DHL / UPS etc for much less money.

Ordered some headphones from Expansys delivery was by Yodel 48hrs, 12 days later no show, Expansys send replacement pair(yodel), 9 days later no show. Expansys agree to send a third pair via Yodel FFS(will they ever learn), 10 days later no show again. Expansys refund my money!! They look bad, Yodel a total waste of vans, drivers, fuel and i would say reputation, but they never would deserve one. And if the did have one it was proberly dead at birth!!! W*nkerS!!!!!!!

My part-time job at a retail company beginning with a D and ending with an 's uses Yodel a lot for their online ordering system and they're always moaning that it's god awful; Yodel kept on telling them that they couldn't guarentee a morning delivery; I think it went right up to the top level and Yodel were instructed that if they couldn't, they as such a multinational company would take their business elsewhere.

From a personal level, I've used them and find them god-awful as well.
