dune Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 FFS, had loads of blossom but all this rain and wind and a few frosts following a warm period has ruined them. On a brighter note should have a bumper crop of pears. Are yours the same?
Saintandy666 Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 We always get so many plums it's hard to know what to do with them, though we don't usually get them until late summer. They are lovely straight off the tree.
RonManager Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 Just got the one pear tree, planted by my old man in 1977 and has never failed yet. How long do they go for?

Dr Who? Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 Yep our tree is naked of All the blossom, but will see what happens late summer.... Not looking good, but normally have so many we give them to the neighbours. Like to make a good pie!
Smirking_Saint Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 Always one step ahead. Id imagine your pretty handy with a pair of plums
John Boy Saint Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 They say frost tonight, and my Apple trees are loaded with blossom, be a shame to have a crop failure. With all these fruit growers if we have success this year might have to organise a meet.......... To swap fruit:)
