He's never quite replicated his domestic form at international level, but his scoring rate for Real Madrid over the last couple of years has been ridiculous.

112 goals in 101 games... wow.

The only thing you could say about him is that it has been a long hard season and perhaps he'll be knackered, but my God does he have an eye for goal right now. Portugal aren't a bad team either really, so I'd be surprised if he wasn't one of the top 4.

Pogrebniak and Jelavic have been superb this year for their domestic clubs since signing - it makes you wonder whether they'll be on a high for the Euros. Good each way shout, if so.

Robert Lewandowski could be a good bet. Most goals are scored in group games and sometimes if you can get 3 or 4 in the group (in his case vs Russia, Czech Rep. and Greece) then you only need to add one more in the knockouts for the golden boot.

Portugal may struggle to get out the group with Germany and Holland in there, probably why his odds are higher than expected given its possible he will only get 3 games. Gomez at 7/1 is stingy... still not matched his Bayern form on the international stage, and Klose is stingy too as likely to only start as sub most games.

Think Ronaldo IF portugal get out the group would be a good bet, but its a big ask... Mueller at 25s is not a bad shout, and nor is Benzema at 20s - susupect the French will alot better than predicted, which will make our group tougher....

This. 40/1 could be some eachway gold. Has been brilliant for Dortmund all season.

Short odds on Klose as he's a tournament specialist.

France will win our group. When they said they were going to sort their act out they actually did, unlike England who just played some average youngsters for a few games to appease our media.

Could be anyone. Euros are a nightmare for betting, best to avoid. Last time Spain seemed an obvious winner, this time far from it. Any of the big sides could win it or completely fck it up in the group stage. At least one of them will. Look at England's group, any of the 4 could qualify or come bottom. Ukraine at home won't be easy, Sweden are never easy to beat and France have quality but the tendency to fck up. England, who knows.

I'd go RVP top scorer if I had to though.

True - in some respect sits tougher to win than teh world cup as only realy the Argies and Brazil missing - but no easy group games to get the rhythm going... will be interesting to see how Spain do, and Germany, good qualifying, but expectation is now high, France should be alot better, the Dutch can go either way, never forget teh Italians, always tough to beat as the Germans found out last time round.

England under Hodge? depends on how he plays it and if the old guard can be bothered - think he may play it safe, but somehow can see us doing well whilst playing poorly ... scappy wins and beating better teams... odd
