ThreeSixty Posted 14 May, 2012 Posted 14 May, 2012 Sounded like he thought he was a right billy big ********.
Raging Bull Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 The interesting part of that was what fat sam thought of Phil jones.
Ken Tone Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 Whenever you listen to the majority of football managers it makes you wonder if they have the brains to manage a cake shop, let alone a multi-milion pound business.
KK the 2nd Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 Whenever you listen to the majority of football managers it makes you wonder if they have the brains to manage a cake shop, let alone a multi-milion pound business. I agree with you, Ken. In almost all spheres of management you expect standards of intellect, ability, leadership and professionalism. In football it seems that if you are part of the old boys club then there's a job. This guy is a joke. I do think our Nige is different though. Thoroughly professional in his approach and always upbeat.
The Cat Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 According to Sporting Intelligence on twitter, Kean is flying out to India tonight. Looks like he will be subject to a sacking.
This Charming Man Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 According to Sporting Intelligence on twitter, Kean is flying out to India tonight. Looks like he will be subject to a sacking. Well that's a given...
stevegrant Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 According to Sporting Intelligence on twitter, Kean is flying out to India tonight. Looks like he will be subject to a sacking. More likely to get a ****ing payrise, the way those idiots have been running that club
Sour Mash Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 According to Sporting Intelligence on twitter, Kean is flying out to India tonight. Looks like he will be subject to a sacking. Bit harsh making him fly all the way out to India just to be told he's sacked.
This Charming Man Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 Bit harsh making him fly all the way out to India just to be told he's sacked. He should be used to the flight by now. He's been flying out there once a week to have meeting's with the owners since he took over. Apparently one of the reasons Fat Sam got sacked was because he refused to do that. Can't blame him really.
The Cat Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 Bit harsh making him fly all the way out to India just to be told he's sacked. Is a bit. Didn't Man City make Mark Hughes fly out to the Far East to sack him?
stevegrant Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 Indeed, far too much emphasis is put on 'did they play at a high level'. Forgetting that many players are brainless and talent has nothing to do with management. And yet Kean didn't even manage to play at a high level. He is/was a highly-respected and highly-qualified coach, although suspect much of that respect has evaporated over the last 18 months, so he's actually the sort of bloke who should be ideal for coaching and management roles, i.e. someone who's had to make his way in the game without the backup of a successful playing career.

I'd just ask them outright over the phone 'If you're going to sack me just tell me now and I'll fly off to Florida for two weeks instead'.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 Allardyce suing Kean apparently. He was going to sue Panorama, what happened over that? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/5378842.stm He's as dodgy as Redknapp.

scotty Posted 15 May, 2012 Posted 15 May, 2012 According to Sporting Intelligence on twitter, Kean is flying out to India tonight. Looks like he will be subject to a sacking. Wrong. He's been sent out there for a decent takeaway, Venksys arent putting up with chicken tikka massala any longer...
