It's because it isn't just based on league tables, it rewards larger winning margins, wins away from home, etc.

All of which goes to show that Brian "we were by far the best team in this division" McDermott was talking a fair amount of ****e. Yes they won the league, and deservedly so, but they rode their luck and squeaked through an awful lot of results, especially towards the end of the season.

I honestly think that reading will struggle more than us next season.....you can't play the better teams in the NPC and concede 20+ per chances a game to aim to hit them on the break...well, they did but that won't be much use in the premier league

When did Arsene Wenger get an OBE?

As long as we finish above Harry and AW next season i'll be happy coming behind Sir Alex and Roberto :)

Surely Sir Alex is a KBE being a Sir? Surely this out ranks his old CBE - Off topic no replies please

I don't know, it looks like they have the clout to get some big players.

They're not as good as the last time they came up though. They already had premier league quality in players like Sidwell and Doyle, not too sure what they have now that's top top quality.

I think West Ham's or our current teams would definitely do better than Reading's current side in the Prem. Just depends what everyone does over the summer.
