RIP Lee Richardson

I'm sure many of you don't know but Speedway rider Lee Richardson had a serious crash in Poland today and unfortunately died as a result of his injuries. He rides for Lakeside in England and was due to be down at Poole on Wednesday night. Many riders and media people are saying the track was awful and not fit for racing. He developed breathing difficulties and internal bleeding as a result of the crash.

 

My thoughts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time. RIP Lee.

Don't know of him, but I do watch Poole once or twice a season.

 

It's always very sad when a sportsman looses his life participating in the sport he loves.

This is very sad shocking news indeed. England hasn`t produced many top quality riders recently but Lee has been one of our best for a while and genuinely seemed like a nice bloke. This will sadden Speedway fans everywhere.

Very sad news indeed, speedway safety has come a long way with air fences in the last few years - not sure if they were being used - but Wroclaw is a major speedway track in Poland.

 

Some of you may have seen him at Poole where he raced early in his career.

 

RIP Lee.
