barton cracking up....or a good lad..?

https://twitter.com/#!/Joey7Barton

Can never make up my mind about Barton. Not as good a footballer as he thinks he is or as bright as he fancies himself to be. Stitched his club and team mates up yesterday and very lucky it worked out the way it did. He is entertaining though, regardless of what else you might think of him.

Only entertaining in the same way as the Kray twins!

The man's a thug anda bully with no self control. How he is still in professional football after the incident in 2004 where he stubbed out a cigar in the face of one of his club's youth players is beyond me.

Rubbish. It made me laugh when the commentators where going on about "oh, no one wants to see that" When he was going nuts. Be honest with yourself, everyone loved it, everyone wants to see that!!! Some because it's funny, some because its a big talking point and like most on here so they can take the moral high ground about it. Football would be rubbish if it was full of Phil and Gary Nevilles.

That would be the Gary Neville that in front of the Liverpool crowd started badge kissing and jumping up and down nearly causing a riot?

Not totally accurate. He reckons Nugent is not a disgrace...

I think you miss read sarcasm on the internet....

Either way Barton is a disgraceful excuse for a professional footballer. His first lash out was just funny (as always) but his response to it to be a hard man was pitiful, never should be allowed to play in professional football

Everyone is talking about it, everyone has an opinion, everyone was either laughing or outraged by it. "no one wants to see it". Boll*cks, everyone wants to see it so they can laugh or be outraged.

If he played for us people wouldn't be moaning. He'd be the new Terry Hurlock.

and everyone would be having a go at Tevez for winding him up, kicking him before the incident and then over reacting to the elbow by rolling on the floor then jumping up as soon as the linesman called the ref over.

Going back to the original Bolton or QPR issue .. How did that Stoke goal stand? Refs usually give a foul if a players so much as sneezes on the keeper. I haven't seen an assault on a keeper like that allowed since the days of black and white tv. Really tough on Bolton to go down like that, with QPR losing so the one goal made all the difference

I normally moan about keepers being too well protected in the modern game, but that was a joke of a decision. Probably balanced out QPR's disallowed goal from their game at the Reebok though, so over the course of the season it might even itself out. Thinking about it and from Mark Hughes'quotes, I can't see QPR being as bad next season, it'll be a stronger Prem all round I reckon.

Barton having a pop at Linekar on twitter today. Most amusing.

Got to say I agree with him about Shearer too. Bit rich him having a go at Barton on MOTD when he has previous, like booting Neil Lennon in the head.

What do you reckon Barton has on Lineker? Or would we be on dodgy grounds in terms of libel even mentioning it?

New state of the art training ground and top level academy announced today and a new stadium announced soon plus a lot more money put in. We shouldnt be there again.

Looking at the odds. Were about 6th fav to be relegated and Saints are 2nd favs to go down although I think Wigan or Norwich will be in big trouble if either of their managers go to Villa.

Well I'm quite pleased QPR stayed up and Bolton didn't.Bolton have been milking the PL for aeons now and haven't actually got much better.

They finished 6th a few years ago so actually have finished higher than we ever have since the premier league started. Their biggest mistake was appointing Gary Megson, an incredibly bad manager and they've been in decline ever since.

Hes supposedly has a wandering eye for the ladies according to people on our board who used to live near him.
