Glasgow_Saint Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 Yes. I think Sven has proven he's a load of **** in the last few years. It would ruin what we've got here, if we have to change the manager eventually it needs to be done when the time is right. After 2 successive promotions under the current manager, the time certainly isn't right. What about Capello?
S-Clarke Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 What about Capello? Same argument. He's not ****, but it would cause more damage just changing someone when nothing is actually wrong. IMO.

mcjwills Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 Capello is the manager - FYI Pep Guardiola is the hot favourite, after the horses head in the bed persuaded him to leave Barca for a potential position with a newly promoted Premier League Club. Mattio Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 Would anyone really complain if Adkins was released and a proven manager like Sven G or Capello came in? Yes.

Delmary Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 From Nigel's matchday programme notes for the Coventry game: "Finally, one man has driven our football club forward with fantastic ambition. Today we sit on the brink of another stage of the journey, and I know that Executive Chairman Nicola Cortese must be a very proud man for what he has achieved so far". Graffito Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 Was attending a wedding at the hotel where I am a manager this evening. during the evening I had several conversations with him,but it was his initial reaction when I informed him I was a saints fan. He heaped praise on all things SFC,however he stated "you do realise that your chairman Cortese does not get along well with Nigel and it is widely speculated that he wants to get rid of him and replace him with an exceptionally well known manager,he would not disclose who this person was however, perhaps he does not know and even could be pulling my chain. Just thought I would share this. how he would know the relationship between Nicola and Nigel is anyone's guess. he also stated that cortese want and expects a top 6 finish this coming season. It's a load of balls isn't it Saint Lard.
Leicestersaint Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 I continue to have my doubts about NC. I would be appalled if we lost Nigel Adkins after all he has done. Back to back promotions is an extraordinary achievement.
sfc4prem Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 I find it hard not to treat this as completely laughable. Especially considering it comes from a poster with a history of Nigel Adkins-slating. Surely, assuming what you say is true, Saint lard, Cortese would have appointed a "big name" instead of an ex-physio from Sc*nthorpe? Either Alex Pearce is bull****ting, or you are bull****ting. Prince Jazzbo Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 I thought NC was selling the club. Why would he want to worry about a big name manager, when he'll be living of the profits in Tuscany?
Dig Dig Posted 13 May, 2012 Share Posted 13 May, 2012 If ever there were a made up OP, this is it. There is so much about this story which reeks of bull****. Well done lard you weirdo.
