dune Posted 14 May, 2012 Share Posted 14 May, 2012 So we should apologies because of what happened before we are born or in countries we dont live in should we? Why cant hetrosexual people have civil partnerships? It's discriminating. Can't you have non religious registry office marriages already?
Saintandy666 Posted 14 May, 2012 Share Posted 14 May, 2012 If churches are allowed not to marry gay people, would they be allowed to refuse to marry coloured people, if they so chose? That is an excellent point.

And I think heterosexuals should be allowed to have a civil partnership.
Window Cleaner Posted 14 May, 2012 Share Posted 14 May, 2012 If churches are allowed not to marry gay people, would they be allowed to refuse to marry coloured people, if they so chose? Churches can do whatever they like and always have done.RC churches don't marry non RC people, divorcées have a rough time in most main line persuasions.I'd guess they don't do marriages for RC or Cof E people in mosques either or probably not hindu temples for that matter. each persuasion has it's own rules and dogma but most of them are in accord on one thing,no gays.
