Dr Who? Posted 11 May, 2012 Posted 11 May, 2012 I am the only one who is not happy with this button as it is blue and white? .
Micky Posted 11 May, 2012 Posted 11 May, 2012 I never noticed it until today - how long has it been there...???
Spudders Posted 11 May, 2012 Posted 11 May, 2012 I've stuck a red & white sticker version on top of it on my monitor so it's not a problem now
SNSUN Posted 11 May, 2012 Posted 11 May, 2012 Was that the sponsor on Kevin Keegans shirt in his time playing for us? Mark Zuckerberg is older than he looks.
Colinjb Posted 11 May, 2012 Posted 11 May, 2012 All the new forum threads on the home page are blue now too. It's a conspiracy.
hutch Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 I thought it was like an f-duct thing to make the site go faster down the straight.
ericofarabia Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 (edited) Can we have it deleted - it is getting on my mammarys already. Plus it makes me think I have a PM. Very distracting and annoying the way it pops up after everything else.. Get Rid NOW - or at least give us an option to do so ourselves. Edited 12 May, 2012 by ericofarabia
bridge too far Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 What does it do? Do you reckon the word 'connect' might be a clue?
Saint in Paradise Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 To get rid of it just right click on it then go to the bottom of the list and click on ad-block. Then click on the add filter bit and ALL GONE LOL !!!
pap Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 I wonder if some of our more anonymous posters will be connecting with Facebook. Would be nice. Haven't seen seamy bedsits since I lived on Denzil Avenue.
ericofarabia Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 Im hoping Saint in Paradise's method works - as it is really slowing down the speed of my computer on this site. Here goes, will report back later.

Ohio Saint Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 I tried hitting it with a hammer. My laptop has gone all funny now.

Then click on the add filter bit and ALL GONE LOL !!! Brilliant, it worked! At least for all Firefox users I presume.. [i presume they all use Adblock...]
hypochondriac Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 Depends which browser you have. I have chrome with ad block installed. Was quick and easy and it has now disappeared .
This Charming Man Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 Do you reckon the word 'connect' might be a clue? Does it post an update on my timeline when I post on here? Does it mean others on here can access my profile? Does it mean I can sync my profile on here with my FB profile? Please do enlighten me as it would appear the word 'connect' means so much more to you than me...

"Probably not" to most of your questions I would think - if you've set your privacy settings appropriately. I wouldn't know about the timeline as I refuse to use it.

Mattio Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 I pressed it and now it has my face which is even more annoying!
bridge too far Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 The word "connect" sure as hell isn't a clue then, is it? On many websites, there are 'connect to Facebook' invitation symbols. I think most people realise that pressing that button takes you to the company / organisation facebook page. I think most people also realise that pressing this button will possibly result in personal information being available to the advertiser unless people have taken the trouble to adjust their privacy settings. Not exactly rocket science, is it?
scotty Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 Oh well that was a FAIL. After Right Clicking on it ..... I don't have a Ad Block choice to select. Any other ideas? Install Firefox, then search plugins for Adblock plus. Install that, then you'll be set and ready, and Saint in paradise's instructions above will remove the annoying button. Firefox is miles better than IE anyway.

bridge too far Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 So it wasn't much of a clue then... To me, connect means join. If I don't want to join, I don't connect. Knowing the implications of joining a FB site, I never, ever join. But then I'm only a simple girl
