jjsaint Posted 12 May, 2012 Share Posted 12 May, 2012 (edited) Harsh on Kevin Miller.. Thought he did well when drafted in.. sure he was no Kelv but thought we had him to thank for many points in his time Yes. As I recall we had a GK crisis at the end of the first season out of the Prem, when he came in and actually did a decent job. How has Tomas Hajto slipped under the radar, I still have nightmares. I'd forgotten about him too. Is any brave soul out there interested (or bored) enough to list all the players in the last seven years? Must be about 150! CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 12 May, 2012 Share Posted 12 May, 2012 I demand a stewards inquiry into why you mugs have not included Saints legend Antony Pulis in your squads. The only possible explanation is that you are all bent and his dad has paid you off. Shame on you all.

CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 12 May, 2012 Share Posted 12 May, 2012 Like Forecast, it's hard to include somebody that never actually played. There's a nasty rumour going around that he did actually play (briefly) for the first team - I can't honestly claim however that I witnessed this unlikely miracle myself. Lighthouse Posted 12 May, 2012 Share Posted 12 May, 2012 He played in a preseason friendly against Reading (I think) and had a shot which landed in the family enclosure.
ant Posted 12 May, 2012 Share Posted 12 May, 2012 I have little or no recollection of some of the players mentioned, repressed memories!? Likewise, they're just names now! Ghosts of a past that seems a more distant than it possibly can have been. Sod a Worst XI, we could easily make a 'first team' and reserves from the misfits we've had to put up with. Crisp Posted 14 May, 2012 Share Posted 14 May, 2012 Jordan Robertson was awful. I do remember he scored one great goal against Norwich though, in front of about a 14,000 crowd at st marys on a tuesday night. Great days.

Thank Markus we're now back on the Utopian Uplands and can leave all these names to Fitzhugh Fella and his fellow historians to big up (or not ). Had a peach of a cross-field pass on him though. I can remember that season where we played just about everyone @ right back!

Lighthouse Posted 14 May, 2012 Share Posted 14 May, 2012 My only memory of Nicholas Bignall was him waiting on the touchline to come on at Notts County last year and all the Saints fans (on the opposite side of the ground) enthusiastically singing, "ole, ole, ole ole! Guly! Guly". Then when the PA announced his name there was a collective, "erm.... oops"

Still can't remember Nicholas Bignall at all?Bignall was a striker on loan from Reading wasn't he (although you have him listed as a midfielder)? Saw him come on as a sub once at St Mary's. Chez Posted 14 May, 2012 Share Posted 14 May, 2012 (edited) Michael Poke Lee Molyneux Darren Powell Stephen O’Halloran Jake Thomson Yoann Folly Dale Stephens Romain Gasmi Ryan Smith Tomas Pekhart Jordan Robertson really hard picking our ****test team. So many lightweight, useless, couldn't give a ****, didn't try, lazy, talentless, waste of space, cheating diving, ballwatching, bottle jobs. Burnsie Posted 14 May, 2012 Share Posted 14 May, 2012 Ryan Smith has to be a stable in any such line-up. Also saw Lee bloody Molyneux getting sent off on his debut. Belmadi was a class act - my favourite Burley era player

CylonKing Posted 15 May, 2012 Share Posted 15 May, 2012 Yoann Folly was an excellent young player for us. When I saw him play, he looked really good. Always full of running, keen to get the ball. Looked for forward runs. I thought him and Leandre Griffit looked excellent when they played for us and showed great promise.
