Going Dutch??

BARCELONASAINT

Velthuizen has just signed a new contract with Vitesse. My mate reckons he would be a gamble, he played 1 season in Spain for Hercules and

that didn't work out. Mate of mine lives in the same village as Velthuizen and knows him, says he is arrogant and he thinks himself he is greatest

goalkeeper around.

A Dutch version of Tommy Forecast then.

haha. word. The lad STARTS for the world cup runners-up and has been linked with all of the forces of darkness from Man U/C to R.Madrid

We have a similar fanbase (especially with all the Tadanari shirts being sold in Asia) and who knows where we'll be in 3 or 4 years? We should be competing for these signings IMO.

I remember seeing something about Dirk Marcellis of AZ (right-back/centre-back/holding-midfielder), and team-mate Marten Maartens, Belgian International Winger.

Yes, so do I .But only on this site,so possibly not overly reliable.

AZ have got plenty of talented player but Marcellis is not one of them. Viergever, Maher, Martens, Beerens or Elm are far more interesting. I think Holman has signed for Villa.

Martens would be a good signing, attacking midfielder who can also play on the left wing. Great passer of the ball and highly skilled.

Holman has signed for Villa, Maher is being watched by City and as for Elm, his setpeices are amazing.

I went to see NEC play a couple of months ago and they did have a decent attacking midfielder, imagine it was him but he's signed for Ajax already I believe.

Bloody day trippers.

Bet he was there with his SLR, not talking to any of the real fans.

You say that but even our Nigel would have struggled with no money and a team of 18 year olds. All things considered Potaloo did a very good job playing some decent football with kids and I would say well done with what he had to work with.........

I never thought that he deserved the stick that he got but he was guilty of some naivity. He did a half decent job in difficult circumstances and some of the football was beautiful to watch but without a decent striker it lacked a cutting edge.
