Wiggles31 Posted 10 May, 2012 Share Posted 10 May, 2012 So who of our promising bunch will be on the 7 man bench or loaned out to Championship / League One club? Nigel did recently say that he would want to include 5 youth team players in the squad next season. I think Ward-Prowse will go on a 3 month to one of the Championship teams. Maybe somewhere like Birmingham or Derby. Then with some experience he might make the bench (if his loan has gone well of course) for the remainding PL campaign. Not sure about Shaw, Stephens and Chambers but maybe they'll go out on loan too. Anyone seen them play reguarly to have a better idea of their development? Alanh Posted 10 May, 2012 Share Posted 10 May, 2012 You would think that JWP and Reeves have the best chance with Shaw and Stephens next in line. I'm not sure that we will send too many of them out on loan as we will probably consider our development squad the best place for them to ...erm..develop! Saint Charlie Posted 10 May, 2012 Share Posted 10 May, 2012 None of them are ready at the moment. JWP wouldn't get near Birmingham's first team! Stephens IMO would have the best chance of getting some games in our team in the cup. Reeves won't make it, he isnt that young anymore.

Well given that Brum are entering financial disaster I wouldn't rule it out. Maybe a lower mid-table team. Or Coventry or someone.
Saint_clark Posted 10 May, 2012 Share Posted 10 May, 2012 Ward-Prowse, Stephens, Sinclair and Shaw I would imagine will all get cup run outs at least.
Matthew Le God Posted 10 May, 2012 Share Posted 10 May, 2012 I think it all depends on how good the new academy and development league structure proves to be. Might suit the club to keep them training at Staplewood until they are older rather than loaning them out if there is a strong games program at development level.
