We will be away as we were at home first this season; So probably not a derby, not London, not too far up north so Midlands ish; Aston Villa? And a win 2-1! COYRS!!

I've done a bit of research and found out some interesting patterns in regards to the Promoted teams' first fixture in the last 5 years of the Premier League, starting from the 2007/08 season to this season 2011/12.

2007/08 - All 3 promoted teams avoided each other

- 2 teams played a top 6 side

2008/09 - All 3 promoted teams avoided each other

-1 against a top 6 side

2009/10 - All 3 promoted teams avoided each other

- 1 against a top 6 side

2010/11 - All 3 promoted teams avoided each other

- 2 played a top 6 side

2011/12 - All 3 promoted teams avoided each other

- 1 played a top 6 side.

So there is a 1 in 3 chance we'll be up against Spurs/Newcastle/Man City/ManUre/Arsenal/Chelsea home or away in the first match. There is also a 1 in 3 chance we'll be up against an established PL side (Stoke/Wigan/Norwich/Aston Villa).

**** Man Utd 3-0 at St Marys. Man Utd change their shirts, claiming Rooney looks too fat in grey. They change to blue, which doesn't solve the problem, then change into red, which still makes him look fat. Eventually they go with skins, which answers the question of why Rooney looks fat. Goals scored by Jos, Rickie (penalty, a foul on Sharp by Evra which results in his sending off) and Morgan (with a 30 yard screamer). The Saints are back in town. All the newspapers report how dire Man Utd are, only the newly formed News Of The World giving us any credit whatsoever.

So what you are saying is that our chances of playing one of the top 6 teams out of 19 is about 1 in three?

Away day at Spurs. Draw.

******** to that, I'm off to SNSUNs game.

Yep, and he's done the research to prove it.

The last 5 seasons have seen the Championship runners up playing away on the first game of the season. (It may even go back further) Playing Chelsea x 2, Man Utd, Wigan and Bolton.

So on previous history we will be away to one of the top 2 (City or United) or mid to low table West Brom or Aston Villa

I think it is about time two promoted teams play each other on the opening day. Also that the second team are at home so...

Southampton v Reading/West Ham/Blackpool.

Now you now this is going to happen so put your money on it!

Result 2-2

Yep, and he's done the research to prove it.

1 of the promoted teams gets a top 6 side every season, sometimes 2. (Based on the last 5 seasons in the Premier League)

The 2012/13 season won't be any different. 1 promoted side WILL get a top 6 side.

Go onto the Premier League website, find the last 5 seasons handbook's (like I have) and you will see the results.

So its a 1/3 chance (possibly a 2/3 chance) that we'll get a Top 6 side at the start of the 2012/13 Premier League season, want me to make that any clearer for you? :) :) :)

Newcastle at home. Saints to win 2-1. Matt Le Tiss to come off the bench and score 2 classics. Oops...sorry I regressed 20 years. Goals by Sharp and Hooiveld

at home, Live on sky Super Sunday against Arsenal

We beat them 2-1 with a goal in the last minute, after being battered for the majority of the game.

Norwich home. We win 3-1 and it sets the tone for the season. We are still unbeaten after 10 games and in a Champions League spot.

We can dream...
