Draino76 Posted 8 May, 2012 Posted 8 May, 2012 I have a frozen portion of Chilli; in the freezer obviously. Do you think I would be ok to have it on toast? I have rice also but I can't be bothered to do rice tonight. It's very good chilli, so I'm a bit worried I will totally ruin a meal because of it. Do you think I will be ok with it on toast?

Eat it with a bag of doritos
Draino76 Posted 8 May, 2012 Author Posted 8 May, 2012 Eat it with a bag of doritos That's a pretty excellent idea. I will. Cheers!
Colinjb Posted 8 May, 2012 Posted 8 May, 2012 Eat it with a bag of doritos Save some money, get some cheap arse value salted tortillas. Just as good for this purpose.
latter day saint Posted 8 May, 2012 Posted 8 May, 2012 toast is a great with chilli, spag bol, macaronni, ravioli & pot noddle. i have also tried shepards pie & lasagna on it as well but would recommend thickly sliced bloomer style bread for this. Tiger bread or cheesy tiger bread is the best imo for this.
hamster Posted 8 May, 2012 Posted 8 May, 2012 Tiger bread is pretty nice on its own tbf, warm from the Tesco ovens mmmmmmmm.

BadgerBadger Posted 9 May, 2012 Posted 9 May, 2012 Tiger bread is pretty nice on its own tbf, warm from the Tesco ovens mmmmmmmm. Fresh warm tiger bread is sexy
Plonko Posted 9 May, 2012 Posted 9 May, 2012 You can't be arsed to cook rice??????? FFS you only have to boil it for 10 minutes with a bit of salt.
ecuk268 Posted 10 May, 2012 Posted 10 May, 2012 As a bit of a chilli addict, I quite like it with pasta. I also find it improves with age. Make a large batch and freeze some. It improves the flavour.
Joe Kirkup Posted 10 May, 2012 Posted 10 May, 2012 Put it in a sandwich - use cheap white bread for best results

Mattio Posted 10 May, 2012 Posted 10 May, 2012 With doritos crunched up in it and cheese, proper job!
Dr Who? Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 Chilli is best with rice, but also like it with chips. Rice takes no time, you could take as long making toast under a grill!
miserableoldgit Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 Surprised no-one has mentioned having chilli with grated cheese in a jacket potato served with Tangy Cheese Doritos. The best way IMHO. Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk 2
Baj Posted 12 May, 2012 Posted 12 May, 2012 Can't be arsed to do the rice? take a bowl, add half a mug of rice, 1 mug of water. Put in microwave for 12 minutes. Done. (I don't advocate always cooking rice like this, but when you can't be arsed...)

Seems it beats the microwave Yeah, but if you fall asleep with the pan on it could be dangerous. That's the beauty of microwaves - drunkenly decide to eat something after the pub but fall asleep and wake up with mystery breakfast!
