So no club event to celebrate the season that is open to all then?

Seems a little strange to me. Last year we had the All Saints Day game (if that's what it was called) where everyone could turn up and soak up the post-season atmosphere, and even though they didn't overtly go on and on about promotion there was a definitely a celebration atmosphere of sorts. I wasn't in favour of a bus parade this year as it seems a little over the top, and I think it's the sort of thing that should be reserved for Cup Final wins, but I thought the club would have done something to allow all fans to have the chance to officially celebrate the season's success.

Oh well. Don't people think it's a little odd though?

not really...I was there last saturday. had my celebration

If you call sticking your finger up your bum hole in the stadium toilets a celebration then yes, I guess you did.

I agree.

What more do we want?

Saints day last year was a wonderful gesture, but obviously a one off. We had the mother of all parties in Southampton last week, what else could we need? A f**king Unicorn?

I'll be in the car park at 12 if anyone wants to join me.

If someone brings a record player for the music, i've already got sausages on sticks and a bottle of fizzy pop.

in the afl both the premiers and the runners up have family days the day after the grand final where all the players get presented to the crowd. these days are always well attended and generate a lotr of goodwill between the fas and the clubs so i think its a fair enough question to ask

I would have liked them to clear the pitch and then done a lap of honour on Sat, rather like the Sheff Utd game.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Man C next Sunday, whether they manage a lap of honour and players celebration on the pitch.
