On Botley Road, 9 police cars outside my house, dog walk taped off, old bill with bullet proof vests, police dogs and me with no idea what's going on.

 

There was a rape down there last month too.

 

I wonder what's happened this time.

They've been battering the bushes, killed 2 off and now going for a 3rd.

I used to live very close to there, and a relative lives in that mini council estate down towards the Portsmouth Road roundabout.

Some old dear lost 5p and wouldnt stop phoning the police apparently. She only stopped calling them when they went down there en masse to look for it

Damn slippery those little 20p pieces.Now a nice crisp 10 bob note or a giant half-crown coin is far more difficult to lose.

Always felt safe with a half-crown in my pocket personally.
