Mattio Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 I'm sure all these Hartlepool fans who have dressed up today will be banned for life (feel free to close this now!)

Colbury Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 Cringeworthy. Be hilarious if they were refused entry to the ground on the basis they look like complete c*nts.
dubai_phil Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 Ah the first Annual meeting of the Dune fan club. Don't actually agree with FD at football OR Rugby 7's (should keep it to Cricket) but fair play to so many for deciding to do it.

Cestrian Saint Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 Great, now they've given ITV yet another distraction to focus on during the game. What is it with them? They always seem to prefer showing girls with painted faces rather than focusing on the game.
fareham saint phil Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 Im sure seeing the 200+ smurfs gave everyone a good laugh, football fans at their funniest best
View From The Top Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 Fair play to them. Hope they had a great day out.
ericb Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 Fu.ck the fancy dress they're standing on the right on the tube there's no f.ucking excuse for that!

Colinjb Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 One stray prat in a smurf suit is tragic. 200 co-ordinated is epic! All credit to the Hartlepool fans!
Lighthouse Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 Is the 4th bloke back on the right of that escalator a giraffe?
dune Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 I didn't think any club had more spasticated fans than us.

sotonjoe Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 Didn't our resident sooper fans say it was just us that dressed up like losers? What will the Middlesborough fans say?
whelk Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 not that I agree but Boro rep here said we were the best 'Best fans Southampton – good party atmosphere and fancy dress' http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/football-league-blog/2012/may/01/championship-2011-12-bloggers-end-season-report surely question should have been hardest coollest looking fans who brought the least joy? mind the usual crap form a few about pompey being great fans - just nerds thoughts really. smurfs Hartlepool fans were all over twitter making people smile - how awful of them.

For a noddy club like Hartlepool it's not so much of an issue, but for a club like Saints one would expect more respect for our reputation.

Or just trying to reignite the debate? For what it's worth I don't mind fancy dress so much when it's done half decently like that (See Hartlepool dressed as Ooommpa Loompas at Charlton last season), it's just the ones that look an absolute mess.

Hatch Posted 5 May, 2012 Posted 5 May, 2012 I was in that pub , The Nags Head yesterday, saw no smurfs them , lots of fit birds though.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 7 May, 2012 Posted 7 May, 2012 I wodder what some of our fashion guru's reckon of this. Personally, I think it's funny and original. Well played Mr Rodgers. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/football-news/2012/05/07/swansea-city-boss-brendan-rodgers-urges-fans-to-dress-like-elvis-presley-91466-30918390/
