Turkish Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 Reckon with current capacity they would only ever allow approx 27k max season tickets to be sold. Don't actually think we will sell that many but maybe 22-25k. Bit of a tough one to guess in the current economic climate. If they price it right and offer a decent installments plan I think we'll exceed our highest number than we ever had under Lowe. There is such a good feel and momentum about the club at the moment. The only ones that moan about it are the ones that go on Internet forums!!

terrasaint Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 Think renewals behind the goal or wings will be £550-£600 and new buy £650-£700. wasn't the new purchase for Chapel end £460 2011/12. Your estimate would be a minimum of 31% increase for 4 games less so I sincerely hope you are wrong!!!!
mcjwills Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 Lets look at this logically an expensive season ticket this year was £515 over 23 games cost £22.40 per match. With only 19 games next year at an increase of say an exhorbitant 33% per match, tickets would cost £30.00 over 19 games that is £570.00 an overall increase of just over 10%. rshephard3 Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 £700 is £36.84 a game. This is a lot. I'd expect wing seats to be in the region £575, meaning as near as dammit £30 a game. Maybe wishful thinking but it seems a lot to charge over £600 for wing seats IMO.
Hedgehog Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 Anything over £35 for an individual ticket, most expensive part in the ground, £30 per season ticket holder, £600 approx. Then they can do one! I don't want to be paying over inflated prices for players wages knowing full well that the top teams will not bring their best players to Saint Marrys,(not that i give a S*** as I go to watch Saints) as they will have bigger games to protect them for, and also knowing that we will have our games F'd around by Sky. SuperMikey Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 It would be good if points could apply to the pricing of STs, i've missed about 10-15 home games in the last 3 years and never had a ST (could never afford one). £1 off for each home game attended would be nice Nicola Still, I shall be getting one near the back of Block 38 for next season. IFHP Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 Ive had a ST since the time we were first in the Prem and ive continued to have one throughout the bad times and all of the long way back to the Premiership. BlakeySFC Posted 5 May, 2012 Share Posted 5 May, 2012 (edited) I'd say expect £40 most expensive part of ground £36 cheapest, £33 Students etc. incl. the cortese tax for individual tickets. As for season tickets i'd say £700 for the most expensive ST was reasonable at £36 a game. Expect the cheapest ST on sale to be £590 for new STH's personally. Jack Posted 5 May, 2012 Share Posted 5 May, 2012 Last year the prices for my seat in the Northam were £465 (renewal) and about £540 for a new ST. I'm guessing, and would be happy to pay about £540 this season. And new STs up to about £700. They need a good installment plan, I think that was one of Cortese's biggest mistakes last summer. It wasn't that long ago I had my ST in the Northam for £60 a month for 6 months with the last payment in December. Ideal. It's not like the club are desperate for the money up front. Dimond Geezer Posted 5 May, 2012 Share Posted 5 May, 2012 I'll decide on whether to renew once the pricing comes out as my nippers has been free for the last 3 years and under the U11 rule would be this year as well. If mine goes up by silly money and his is no longer cheap then they may have to go. That said, a decent DD scheme and I'm in. Same for me, myself & my oldest son were £550 last year, number 2 son was U11 so free, this season I'll have to pay for him. I think last season over 11's were £150, so that £700 straight away without the prem weighting that undoubtedly will be added. More that about £900 & I'm out. SNOWY Posted 5 May, 2012 Share Posted 5 May, 2012 I'm expecting to pay around £700 (Itchen Center) It will be interesting to see if the whole of the Chapel is retained as the Family Stand. I suspect the Family area will revert back to the Chapel/Kingsland corner (approx 2000 seats I think) Will they change the rules on concessions? They could make the center seats full price only for example. They could make the Northam adult only. I sure they will be looking at ways of maximising income whilst still offering discounts in limited areas.

stevegrant Posted 5 May, 2012 Share Posted 5 May, 2012 We had a 30% increase when moving up from League One to the Championship, so I suspect we'll see a similar rise when taking the next step up. In terms of matchday prices, they're surely going to have to go back to a multi-tiered system - they can probably get away with charging £40-45 for the likes of Man United, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, etc, but no chance of selling any tickets against Wigan, Stoke and Norwich. The Godfather Posted 5 May, 2012 Share Posted 5 May, 2012 I know existing ST holders will get a discount compared to new ST holders but it would be good if we were rewarded with some realistic prices and not too much of a price hike...but I doubt it though. Matthew Le God Posted 5 May, 2012 Share Posted 5 May, 2012 We saw how long it took twinned tickets for the Coventry game to sell out. The Coventry game sold out over a week before the match. Even in the 2004/05 season when Saints were awful, came 20th and were relegated, St Mary's had an average of over 30,000. It was difficult that season to get tickets and the team were hardly an attractive proposition to watch.

Lord Duckhunter Posted 5 May, 2012 Share Posted 5 May, 2012 I had a S/T for years and if all the games were 3pm Sat, would have continued to do so. Sunday and Sat lunchtime games are a bit of a struggle, work wise. I have never missed a big game and have always managed to get a ticket. However, the last 2 years it has been close a couple of times. The "database" free for all, is making it tougher and therefore I'm hoping that some sort of membership will be reinstated so that big games/away games tickets can be based on sales history. Without that I'm seriously thinking about getting a S/T and taking a hit on the games I miss, or passing the S/T for someone else for the games I'll miss. I really do think that the feelgood factor will push S/T sales right up, and tickets will be harder and harder to get.

Hedgehog Posted 5 May, 2012 Share Posted 5 May, 2012 Well if it makes no difference to you, why mention it? That team was for a cup game, try and find a few examples of them playing that sort of team in the league....... You are missing my point. It has been suggested that i was one of the 'plenty of glory hunters on this site'. I have been a season ticket holder for more than 20 years, missing about 2 games, and still pay the higher price for tickets when the big clubs come to town. For that game we were not guaranteed the full first team squad of that team, and are not for future league games in the premiership. If you are expected to pay to watch an A list game you don't want to be seeing C list stars. So my point and with my original post in this thread, is that the price should be at a realistic level roughly £600 for most expensive area.
