alpine_saint Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 Wham will be promoted. Have to argue it will be deserved, much as I intensely dislike their managment and ownership team.
This Charming Man Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 WHU were a different class to Cardiff last night. Imagine they'll be annoyed they didn't get more. Can't see anyone stopping them from going up now.
Window Cleaner Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 WHU were a different class to Cardiff last night. Imagine they'll be annoyed they didn't get more. Can't see anyone stopping them from going up now. Watched the game on L'Equipe TV (well most of it anyway). The commentators were very scathing about Cardiff, said it was just as well they wouldn't get promoted because they didn't have the attributes to make any sort of decent showing in the PL anyway.Described them as a typical kick and rush lower League side.Made the point that I often make that a side is only as good as it's weakest element(s). West Ham tried to play football a bit but it didn't seem to be natural to them at all, poor control everywhere and some of the passing was pretty second rate.Perhaps BFS is right to play route 1 football because they're certainly not very good at passing and controlling the football.Better than Cardiff all the same. Cardiff were terrible. Couldn't put more than 2 passes together and lost the ability to defend. How many play-off chances are they going to blow? Their fans must be going mad, going through the same misery and let downs every season. I thought WHU mixed it up quite well - similar to us, passed it around a bit and went long to Cole. Noble wasn't really able to get on the ball for them though and Whittingham for Cardiff was anonymous. Those 2 players makes those teams tick. As for Nolan, what is the point of him? He must have the easiest job in the world, it would appear he's paid £50k a week to shout at match officials and that's pretty much it.
The Cat Posted 4 May, 2012 Share Posted 4 May, 2012 I went to watch AFC Totton vs Chesham last night instead. Cracking game, Totton won 3-2. Play off final up at Oxford City on Monday.
