Orange Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 For me I try and save more, so will be working saturdays. Cricket and the pub do the job too.
This Charming Man Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 I was just asking people in the office what weirdos that don't go to football do on a Saturday. None of them were able to give me an answer other than ' not a lot'. Luckily I'm off to Norway at the end of the month and the Euros with England so I've still got 4-6 games lined up over the summer.
JPTCount Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 the euros, the Olympics, and the summer transfer rumour mill that, and a well balanced life away from sms
Bucks Saint Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 Cricket. beers. holidays. Oh and rampant transfer speculation (for any club)
toofarnorth Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 A colleague of mine is into Speedway do Poole are her summer sport. Guess this year it'll be the Euro's and the olympics, but those summers without a big event really drag from a sport perspective. Especially since cricket went to sky.
doddisalegend Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 Gardening/shopping/diy and what ever other evils the good wife can come up with. The Nippers season is over to so I'm going from saints on a saturday (most of the time) and sons tyro games on a sunday to no football at all. No doubt I'll try and watch the euros on the telly...but international football doesn't bring the same excitment levels as club football for me.
Orange Posted 3 May, 2012 Author Posted 3 May, 2012 Going to give Speedway a try this summer too, looks decent. As much as i miss the football it is nice not to blow your wages every saturday for a while. Belgium at home in May at least.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 I go back to being a father of two in close season.
Turkish Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 in no particular order; worrying about when season tickets go on sale worrying about how much season tickets will cost worrying about when the new kit will be released Worrying about Cortese selling Worrying about Cortese not buying enough players early enough Worrying about players leaving Worrying about why there is no news on the offical site worrying about who other clubs are signing

Looked into flying out for the Sweden game, best price i could get was £700 for indirect flights and hotel. So that plus beer, food, match ticket, wig, face paints and St George soilder outfit was over £1k for 3 nights, i'm out. Although still hoping to get in on our corporate sell out jolly to that one.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 Play offs, Euros, Cricket, Tour de France, Holiday, Garden, Gigs ..... Pre season friendlies.....

Dr Who? Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 Really happy that we are up, and I can enjoy the summer. Holiday x 2 trips with the kids Watch the Euros. I am in no hurry for it to come back, but by August I am sure I will be biting at the bit. I am really looking forward to a stress free summer with the family, and not have to worry about results, tables and fixtures!!!

Patrick Bateman Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 I sit in my f*ckin' armchair w*nkin' off to Pop Idol. Then I try and avoid my wife's gaze as I struggle to come to terms with my sexless marriage. Then go and spunk my wages on kebabs, fruit machines and brasses.
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 My turn for a 4 month stint up a mountain soon, usually all on my own most of the time.Still I get internet access so it's not all that bad, quite looking forward to it actually, starts in about a fortnight.
Northant Saint Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 Im as mad about tennis as I am about football so I am never really lacking in the sports department. Roland Garros, Queens and Wimbledon will keep me well occupied, as well as playing 3 times a week myself.
Whitey Grandad Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 Euros. Certainly not the Olympics, over-hyped athletics day.
Nutwood2 Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 Petanque. Fantastic game. Wimbledon.......love it. The Euros and the Olympics. Transfer gossip. Short tennis, table tennis, gardening. More transfer gossip........

Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2012 Posted 3 May, 2012 You're a cleaner, yes? Although they favour the strangely named Cillit-Bang in those parts.Strangely efficient stuff as well, used to be banned in France god knows what they put in it then.
