The big fella that he mentions that offered to put him on his shoulders, is that the same big fella that managed to get in the dressing room and dance around as part of the post match celebrations?

As well as being a good footballer Rickie really does come across as just a really nice humble guy....you just can't help but like him. Hope he gets to score at Anfield (maybe after nut megging Gerrrad) reckon he'd love that.

Scouse to English translates a bit easier on the eye than the Guly Portugese to English Interview LOL.

As Doddy said above - you just can't help liking him.

Every Interview I've seen on TV/Saints Player or in newspapers, he comes across as somebody who genuinely loves the game and really appreciates everybody around him here that have helped nuture him into the player he is now.

Arise Sir Rickie Of Lambert - Southampton's Goal Machine.

You mean they hit the back of the net.

What made MLT's pens so good was that most hit the side netting first, out of reach of most keepers even if they went the right way.

No.... it was actually the son of a former player

Tommy Widdrington?? :)

To be fair, Rickie stayed on his shoulders for ******* ages, must have been struggling towards the end....and no, not Tommy Widdrington

Think that humilty stems from his graft and progress through the leagues over 12 years - rather than it being handed on a plate straight into the big time. Great to see and why his chance in the Prem is so well deserved
