doggface Posted 4 May, 2012 Posted 4 May, 2012 Bump. I saw a feature on Michu yesterday on the la liga magazine here in Canada. He seems a decent lad, very grounded good attitude but seems he would consider a move. He seems to make a lot of late runs into the box and is very clinical. There is some talk of a Spain call up - this would be a bit of a coup if interest is genuine. Seems a good fit.

The HCDAJFU thread is about suggestions or even wishful thinking. Where there is speculation in the press about a particular player, that is a small step up from just HCDAJFU and unless we have a thread for 'Players linked to SFC in the Press', which would be one way of doing it, separate threads that can fade away if the report comes to nothing seems perfectly OK. Its not as if an extra thread costs us anything, so why get worked up about it? And there is another option for those who agree with the delldays: don't read such threads, or if you do, don't reply. Yes, of course we can "chase more than one player at a time", but Adkins and Cortese only have finite time and resources, especially considering the complexity and constraints of modern transfer dealings. I'm sure we will add a CB and keeper, but I certainly think there is the argument for getting them in asap.

Seems he can be spot on but his Saints related news usually doesn't happen. He said a few weeks ago that we were very close to signing Kevin de Bruyne on loan from Chelsea, nothing has happened. Last season he said about how we were going for Nicky Maynard and Jermaine Beckford as well as completing deals for Gorkss and Jemal. Didn't seem to call any of the signings we actually did make and from memory he said Cork to Nottingham Forest was basically a done deal.
