The more I see how the club are operating right now, the more I can only think of one word to describe it. Dignified.

Not cocky, not in your face, not dismissive but just plain classy and with a greater degree of dignity then could have ever been expected.

Sounds like a good gig and nice touch for the ST holders, could be a few more than 50 though seeing as it's in a marquee covering the entire pitch.

If you can't afford a season ticket yet went to most games, you need a serious lesson in money management.
I know loads of people that couldn't afford to pay such large amounts for a st but can afford £30 every other week

Would be a better event If they had the players on the pitch doing 'The cross bar challenge'

chip in the bucket (Golf)

soccer skills knockout where the fans vote the best and maybe a charity match between the squad to entertain us with some show boating.

I would be pretty sure you would get thousands of fans coming for that on top of the trophy being presented and a video showing the season highlights.

Just my thoughts.

Yeah and imagine how much demand there would be for a photo with Tommy Forecast in the Monkey Chicken Petting Zoo

Completely agree, brilliant show of dignity and respect to ALL the staff there whether it be playing staff of the toilet cleaner, they get to go. Celebrate it as a family should do and with the lottery of 50 lucky fans as well. Love it .

I think if the plan is to pack in 45,000 people in the Cortesedome for a Tuesday game against Bolton then a parade for the whole city would actually be a good PR exercise for the tens of thousands of potential fans.

Since when does a football team getting promoted require a dignified response? Have you ever met any football fans? It ain't Sadlers Wells mush.

I think only full time employees get invited to events. I know a part timer for the club directly who doesn't get to go to anything. Guess stewards are classed as part time?!

Totally agree, plus they'd be able to flog a load of cheap t-shirts and flags. Kids especially love this sort of thing and it would be memorable event for them to cement them as Saints supporters.

Presumably they don't stand round the pitch 8 hours a day, 5 days a week... ;)

Ha, I was implying they may be either employed for other roles at the club or voluntary so not necessarily part time ;)

But they could be stood there now..................
