Kingsland Codger Posted 30 April, 2012 Share Posted 30 April, 2012 Has anyone here received an email from the Club with the title "Southampton FC Season Ticket Launch" ? Some of the group of friends with whom I go to matches have received such an email (myself included) whereas others have not. This has prompted a discussion, with some believing the email was a scam and others who did not receive the email worried they have been lost in the system. The email certainly appeared genuine and included a link whereby we were asked to update our contact details. Someone who did not receive the email then contacted the Club and received the reply "We have sent no emails regarding Season Ticket pricing or structure for next Season" - which didn't really answer the question. Can anyone here confirm if they, too, have received the communication from the Club asking for confirmation of their details?

Bearsy Posted 1 May, 2012 Share Posted 1 May, 2012 I got one, it come from admin@purchaseticket.com. I weren't sure if it was like a scam or not but when i put in my customer number they already knew my address, so i figured it was legit and paid the £90 fee. Doctoroncall Posted 1 May, 2012 Share Posted 1 May, 2012 I would imagine it's part of their 'spring' cleaning of their records at the end of season, what with the new ticketing system and potentially higher season ticket sales and (maybe) membership to be offered they need to get details correct (and what better way than get us to enter them)!. unionhotel Posted 1 May, 2012 Share Posted 1 May, 2012 Trouble is I can't remember my membership number so it doesn't go any further. It's not like you've forgotten your password and can get an update. Seems strange!!
The9 Posted 1 May, 2012 Share Posted 1 May, 2012 Trouble is I can't remember my membership number so it doesn't go any further. It's not like you've forgotten your password and can get an update. Seems strange!! It seems "strange" that the club would want to verify that some of the data on their massive fan database might be correct before they start mass marketing to everyone to try and shift more STs than last year, when they also have a new ticketing system that will have to migrate that data into ? Er, ok, seems perfectly reasonable to me. It's definitely not spam, btw, and the same information was on the OS a few days ago before the link above as well. FWIW my address was wrong, and I'm an ST holder, so good job they asked.
