A downloadable version of the game (second time lucky)

For those of you who want to make your own (and have access to the iPlayer stream - which will be available until Saturday AM) you can make a very high quality copy using get_iplayer.

For Windows PCs (easiest, you need to be a bit of nerd to make this work on the Mac) you can download it here:

http://www.infradead.org/get_iplayer_win/get_iplayer_setup_latest.exe

Once you've downloaded that and run the installer (it will automatically install the various bits and bobs you need) you need to fire up a Windows command prompt (Start, Run, and enter cmd in the box)

Find where you installed get_iplayer (by default it should be in C:\Program Files\get_iplayer) and in the command prompt navigate to that directory (enter all the following commands without the quotes):

Type "C:\" and press enter

Type "cd Program Files\get_iplayer" and press enter

Type "get_iplayer --pid b01h0qch" and press enter

*Hopefully* this should start downloading the program and automatically convert it to an .mp4 file which you can play on most computers and iPhones, etc. This will take a while depending on how fast your PC is - video crunching like this is very resource-intensive. Its best not to have anything else running whilst you do it.

If that doesn't work there is a help file here:

http://linuxcentre.net/getiplayer/documentation

It's well worth saving for posterity, great coverage and plenty of fan interaction etc. (plus Deano swearing and and Nigel almost blubbing)

+1 for this.... Or for an easier way (with a user interface), once installed, go to: Start > all programs > get_iplayer > web pvr manager

This loads an iPlayer window, where you can search for programs and once located, click the record button to start the download.

Evening gents,

Sorry about all the problems with Dropbox. Obviously it's not meant for public downloads. I've uploaded it to 4shared.com instead and here's the link:

More confident about this one this time. Hopefully it works. Any problems please say :D

Thanks for persevering - much appreciated!

If there is a HD version of the stream yes it would download it, however I can't find it on the iPlayer website. Was it broadcast in HD? Nothing on the schedule for Saturday...

Agreed, I cant find it on Iplayer. Yes it was on BBC HD & i Sky+ it. But dont want it clogging up the hard drive on my Sky box & would rather have a copy on my PC.

And further thanks for helping to avoid typing in CMD as this runs it all! :adore:

Downloads in good quality too!
