For completion, new Liverpool third kit doesn't look like this :

It looks like the purple thing with white sleeves and orange cuffs on the left here (away shirt in the middle, home shirt on the right) :

This has no relevance to Saints, I just wanted to show how bad photoshops CAN be based on a tiny bit of info.

That's not spot on, it doesn't even have the right type of sleeves on it... they're raglan and reach the collar, not whatever they call the ones which cut off at the shoulder.

I'm pretty sure we could photoshop a more accurate 2012/13 Saints kit based on communal knowledge too. I'm not doing it though, but I have a very good idea of what it's going to look like - I still have some questions whether the pinstripes are grey and white rather than just white though, but no doubts about number of pinstripes, collar, sleeves and cuffs design.

It's the Sweden template with a different collar. Also don't know if the back is plain like the Sweden shirt though, and no idea what the shorts or socks are.

F*cking hell, I knew when I posted that you'd come back and point out it wasn't actually spot-on.

To all intents and purposes it captures what the kit is like. And it did so 2 months ago; so it was a decent enough mock up.

I'm the MLG of kits. ;)

It's not bad, it's about as accurate as Itchen_Dan's, collar aside.

Actually, from looking at the Blackburn (and Rangers) shorts we know the design, we just don't know the colour. They'll be one plain main colour with either a contrast stripe which curves slightly, or the same colour stripe as the main body of the short - but as we did that last season and we're unlikely to try and shift completely plain shorts for two seasons in a row, I'd expect us us to have the contrast stripe.

As it's also now a week before the unveil, it's probably about time to wait and see - then be amazed at how many people have been oblivious about the design despite this thread when it launches on 30th June.

I got me one of these:

http://bestkitshop.com/2012-13-japan-home-shirt.html

Fair enough by the time it came through it was £18 including getting 19 printed on the front and LEE 19 on the back, but well worth it and it turned out to be genuine (must have been straight out of the sweat shop).

Took 2 weeks to arrive.

I love it.

Well it's either straight from the sweatshop (for lots of different brands), there's a "kink" in the delivery process between manufacture and distribution in which masses go missing, or they have a very decent standard for their fakes... decent value though.

Interesting...

I thought it was due to be unveiled on Saturday at 9am? That picture says Friday at 6pm?

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2805126,00.html

The exciting new strips will be revealed in the coming weeks, as Saints look to build on the feel-good factor generated from back-to-back promotions.

These highly anticipated kit designs will be unveiled first on saintsfc.co.uk from 9am on Saturday 30th June with the home strip due to hit the Saints stores a day later on Sunday 1st July.

I was disheartened and thought it was a fake when I read the text in red down the middle of the shirt "All supporting for Japan"... turns out this is actually a feature of Japan's kit!

Maybe the refurbishments of the shops isnt taking as long as expected? Not complaining though

The launch will be a press release online style only on the Friday I think, so I doubt the shop will be involved in that - presumably they've decided to launch it at 6pm because... um, actually I have no idea, there's nothing stopping them setting the content management system to auto-update at midnight, so it's not a "people going home on a Friday" thing...

I'm at a loss as to why people still think the kit will have "fat" pinstripes as in the most recently reposted mock up above, it's the Sweden style with 7 pairs on pinstripes, and as we can see, plain sleeves. itchen_dan's done a more accurate one than that already!

Speaking of the Megastore (Well someone mentioned it)

Can we please get some ****ing chip and pin machines, what is this 1998?

I was at a pub in Ditchling the other night and they used one of those machines where you put a paper voucher in a hand operated roller machine and sign at the bottom.

Can we switch to Nike or something next season, please ?

Umbro design is cr*p and their tailoring is ghey.

Just goes to show that it's a matter of opinion doesn't it? I think over the last few years Umbro have been about the best kit designers around. Adidas on the other hand produce mostly god awful rubbish. Nike seem to inhabit the middle ground, a few shockers (new ManU), OK but not amazing (Arsenal) and pretty cool (new French home and away).

By all means take it that these comments make me ghey as you call it. Alternatively maybe I have just an ounce of style.

FWIW I'm with you. Umbro are by far the most "classic" and stylish of the manufacturers at the moment, their Bilbao away, Rangers away and Lille shirts from last season are instant classics. Compare them to the utterly forgettable Nike efforts, or their hideous use of blending, or gingham(!) this season, or adidas' "we have 3 templates, hundreds of teams and no variety" approach and I think we've been lucky. Until now.

By the way, unlike the Sweden shirt this one definitely has the stripes on the back too.

Well I like the fact it'll be different. It's just 1 year and it'll probably look pretty smart even if not what we're used to.

I wish. Looks like it will be pretty cheap to me, which is disappointing as the other Umbro kits have been reasonably nice and decent quality.

Hopefully the material will be the cotton feel, because generally I hate shirts which have colour "printed" on them rather than the material actually being that colour and I'd need something to offset it. :(

On the bright side I'm going on holiday so can't afford to buy one yet anyway!

The collar is marmite as I said about 5 pages ago, not seen it at all but I was told its not like the mock up that Dan has it up with the thicker in stripes.

And you would be correct. It's definitely not like Lille's away shirt.
