Once you've seen the actual design I definitely feel that it is a grower and many people will end up liking it and purchasing it. Definitely sets us apart from the rest of the division.

Have you seen it then !?

This is what I am fearing - are one of the ITK's able to reassure me that it will not resemble this ?

It certainly seems that very lttle white will be visible from the stands next season.

Still, red shirts, black shorts, perhaps the head of marketing sould issue a Mitchellesque statement saying if you don't like the new kit go and watch the cherries instead.

I am not able to confirm it won't look like that. Well, the collar doesn't, at least, and there are more pinstripes, and they go all the way to the top, and it still looks more like a Forest 1993 shirt, but apart from that...

Can we have trousers with a Groundhog Day post please?

Dan K has also made the point that the Sweden shirt has a plain back. Nice to know he does some research into these things cos I hadn't checked. ;)

Maybe Bournemouth rejected this shirt.

Seems unlikely as they're in the middle of a FILA deal... If we have black shorts the similarities to Cardiff's rebranding will make me LOL.

Anyone know what font type has been chosen for the numbers and names on the back please?

I assume you're taking the p155 but as it's the standard Premier League font, apparently it's called Albertus - we won't need to change that unless we get to a Cup Final - the current Umbro font of choice then is basically a skinny version of Courier.

Anyway, the good news is that you're not hostage to the Saints shop for shirt printing any more, as most places that sell football shirts also do Prem printing.

not at all, can't be the same for every colour/design surely. Ie Newcastle black on black.

It's the same design, different colours. Prem Numbers come in black, white, red, yellow, blue and gold mainly, though I think they've started sneaking navy in to match Spurs' trim.

My forum match shirt has blue I think, melted blue now though :-( due to mrs h's exuberant ironing.

Yeah, but they're Football League numbers (and those were left over numbers from the yellow away kit of the previous season - we didn't have any black ones left because the following season's Anniversary kits both had red numbers on the back). The Prem numbers are different - they're also different from the last time we were in the Prem.

You can see the differences in this incredibly dull website (wish I'd done it) : http://www.mmsports.com/group.php?id=547&start=&rows_per_page=

Note the Prem and Championship number fonts (same on the shorts as the shirts) in this pic, and the horrible bright yellow/green numbers on Leeds' away kit.

I bet its completely different to what people are saying on here and will leave people red faced.

This is usually where I ask for someone to sticky the thread so we can reflect on it... :D

Everyone's going off rumours and there's a lot of goodwill and faith being put in what only a couple of people have said - but there are two completely separate sources for the same information so far, one of those sources has previous ITKness from last season's kit, the other is completely independent and has made comments without much knowledge of the context. Based on that, I'd say we were pretty confident that at the very least the red kit, which has 7 pairs of white pinstripes on it, is a Saints kit for next season. The rest is guesswork.

I actually think, if there's a reversed away style in white, that it'll outsell the red shirt.

Just to let Itchen Dan know his design is doing the rounds on twitter this evening.

I've seen it over the last couple of days! Won't be long before it ends up in the Echo claiming to be a 'leaked' design of next years kit haha! Considering I know the exact design now, it's quite funny to see people treat the design like it's the final shirt!

I see.................. :o

By the looks of it, the kit will be a bit of a change this year.....but to be honest I think we'll look great in any shirt which has the premier league badges on the sleeve!

They already know exactly where this rumour came from, I'm pretty sure.

Bit of white trim here and there?

I replaced all the blue with white but the trim on the end of the arms is hiding due to my amateurish choice of white as a background colour. I imagine they could add more white on the cuffs and hem.

Personally I'm not a big fan but it's hard to tell the overall impact without seeing the shorts and socks. Black shorts and white socks and it might be more Saints-like.

Any chance anyone else can send me a pic of the supposed leaked photo? ;-) Ta

I can answer that one. No. I know someone with a bit of it though.

The concept of the design is, yes. (ie. thin white stripes on a red shirt)

The collar's definitely not right, I know that much.
