S-Clarke Posted 30 April, 2012 Share Posted 30 April, 2012 Andrew Davies deserves a place on the bench - was quality for us. What a slide he has had by the way, now at a very poor Bradford City. He's not got much of a fan base there either as he's made lots of sloppy errors at L2 level.

Can't actually remember if he did or not...I know Mettomo didn't, he was a bit of a typical Burley signing. Pele was alright though, especially in the middle. The worst I can come up with is: Forecast James Lancashire Powell (captain) Molyneux Thomson Pulis Gasmi R. Smith Pericard Pekhart Subs: Poke, O'Halloran, Sarmiento, Tejera, Robertson I think Mettomo was only here training, so he could get fit for the ACON but he somehow ended up on the bench one time because we were that bad. Bit harsh to include him. Honorouble mentions to those who didn't make the matchday 16 because they weren't quite bad enough: DMG, Euell, McCann, Jermaine Wright, Kenton (I actually laugh every time I remember one of these players and how bad they were). So glad you made Powell captain. Has anyone seen a professional footballer with less talent? Seriously he made Ali dia look half decent. I can't believe you've not gone for Folly. A defensive midfielder that never tackled, couldn't control a ball or pass. He was slow and extremely lightweight. He was so bad at Wolves one season I was tempted to run on the pitch and kick the pussy to see if he had the fight to kick me back. Trouble was he moved so little he hardly left the centre circle. Folly was and still is an utter ****e player. O'Halloran. hhahaha, how on earth could I forget to include him. Woeful. No, worse than that. Drivel. Pekhart and Robertson. Seeing them come in to save us I knew almost instantly that we were doomed. I want McGoldrick in your side, if only for being THE laziest 20 year old footballer I have ever seen ever, ever, till the end of my days, ever. Every day I thank the curb crawler for `scouting him, recommending the £1.25m transfer fee and effectively buying Sir Ricky Lambert. Pleat sir, you have become a Saints legend in my eyes. "Yeah David he's having a great season, lovely touch, finds space well, good footballer, sees the game, time on the ball, picks a pass. You're not scouting him are you David? Better not be. The fans love him here. It'll take millions to get him from us" Job done.
Lighthouse Posted 30 April, 2012 Share Posted 30 April, 2012 I can't remember Folly playing for us much in the Championship, so I left him out. My two memories of him are of getting dragged off at half time on the opening day of the relegation season (already 2-0 down at Villa) and coming on as a sub at Chelsea only to get dragged off half an hour later. Having checked Soccerbase, his only other league appearance that season was the 5-1 battering we took at Spuds. Why Aberdeen took him on I'll never know, he must have a sh*t hot agent. Lighthouse Posted 1 May, 2012 Share Posted 1 May, 2012 Kamil Kosowski looked half decent under Redknapp but then got a couple of injuries, lost his form and Burley didn't rate him. Not a great player but could never compete with some of the gash we've had since then. Also I don't care if Pekhart is keeping David Villa on the bench, he was sh*te when he played for us.
