Fair play to Tiss, we all know he didn't get paid too handsomely (given the going rate for footballers of his ability at the time) during his career and I like to think his loyalty to Saints played a part, alongside his obvious talent as a pundit, in Sky giving him his break on TV. They love a character and/or someone who has something unique about them. Although they are getting better now, BBC have in the past been far too keen to employ an ex-pro from a big club, regardless of personality or skill for the job, IMO

That is very true. Had not thought about that. The BBC recruit bland punditd.
