For my money, Brian Clough is just beginning to look like a much better comparison. OK you probably can't expect league 1 to European Cup winners in this day and age, but on some other levels Nigel seems a bit Cloughesque. Same drive and attitude to the way the game should be played. A bit paternal about his team. Same English provincial footballing background. Brian Clough was a real hero, and so is Nigel.
