Where do you predict we'll finish next season?

If Bolton and Wigan stay up, which is looking increasingly likely, with Norwich, Swansea and Stoke in there (whom I think are due a poor season at some point) I think 15th position is possible.

As it stands though, I'd have us down as 18th-20th, but I fully expect us to strengthen well this summer, and so that prediction is moot.

Which teams do you reckon we have the best chance of finishing above?

The 3 who avoid relegation this season and the other 2 promoted teams have to be our first targets. Norwich and Swansea may well find their second year a lot tougher, now that they have been sussed out. SSN are reporting than Roy Hodgson has been permission to talk to the FA about the England job, which would weaken WBA if it all goes through. Sunderland and Fulham are both hit and miss but have decent managers and will be difficult to beat. Stoke could be a realistic target.

That only leaves the current top 8 as teams I don't realistically think we can finish ahead of.

To be honest, I don't care. This club is rebuilding still. It would be great to stay up, but I think the important thing is to keep faith in NA no matter what. If we finish 20th I don't want to hear a single person calling for his head. He not only deserves a full year in the Prem, if we're relegated he deserves a chance to get us promoted again. Changing managers gets clubs no where, stability is the key and we have the right man for the job if we can hold onto him.... no matter what.

Just think it'll be very hard to beat the top nine there, either because of their squad or manager... but the others, maybe. So hope we sign some big overseas players, as Pardew just did, plus some top Championship players, and squeak into the top half of the table. Great to get a cup run too...
