Bit early to tell until I've seen what we do transfer wise over the summer. Whatever I'm going to have low expectations Norwich lay 13th in the table and that's a successful season by all accounts.

Really unpredictable until we see the additions to the squad. I could see 6 or 7 of our present first 11 playing in a top half team, but my feeling is they will need 3 or 4 quality players with Prem or international experience to move things up a little.

The next few months are for strengthening the squad. I will make make prediction when I see the outcome of this, about August time.

Unlike last year we need to be more decisive in the transfer market, instead of dilly dallying.

Hopefully the planning has already started !

Provided we can bring in 3 or 4 quality additions then with the nucleus we already have and the incredible management skills of NA I don't see any reason we can't finish comfortably mid-table. So I'm going to go for 13th.

How can we make a reasonable prediction of this until we know what the squad looks like ???

Based on what we know about our owners' backing, our chairman's ambition and our manager's ability?

14th, there are some really awful teams in the prem, we should be able to pick up points against the likes of the Baggies, Fulham and Stoke, sadly there are also some very very good teams up here O.o Bricking it a little actually after looking at the prem table just now I've forgotten what it's like to be a small fish in a big pond.

Hard to say without additions to the squad, let's be honest - Norwich and Swansea have raised the bar so expectation will be higher straight away.

Let's see the calbire of players we're linked with before making predictions.

fancy that cortese will be up for it, we will sign a few players, probably from leagues outside the UK, kelvin will want to go out on a high, lambert will be up for the challenge, im gonna plump for 4th, ambitious lol

In the same way we can make comments about matches we haven't seen.

As was mentioned somewhere else, the dross teams are being shifted out - they must be coz Norwich, Swansea and poss QPR are staying up. That means less dross to gather points from. Therefore - 1st!!!

Hopefully the belief will be with the team, however two things concern me - (a) We did not finish the season confidentally and spluttered across the finish line...(b) the pace in the Prem in even some of the relegated teams is frighteningly quick and my view is we're too flat-footed...e.g. can you remember a goal that was scored on the break this season? We could get trounced by teams that have almost all the whole squad made up of guys that are as capable as Lallana or better.

I will be delighted to find us in a position any higher than 18th to be honest until Nigel has time to assess the team and what he's up against. That will not stop the hope and belief being there, but realistically there's a significant gulf between our squad and those at the top of the Prem at the moment.

40+ points with four games to go, that would be OK for the first season, whatever position that leaves us it should mean that people won't be whistling the theme from the Great Escape during the last few matches!
