Current Squad - Who do we keep?

We have to agree to disagree here. Quite a few times he's played this season, and you could just see the distinct gulf in class between other midfielders and him.

Running backwards, not tackling, lost count number of times he gives ball away trying to pass it like cork or Morgan etc...

Has had good games of course, thought he had a corker first game v Leeds, but as the season went on, he reverted back to type.

In MY opinion, the man is not good enough I'm afraid.

On the fence myself but I thought he lost us the game against Reading, trying to play a role tailored for a far, far, far better player.

Now if he had a role designed for his own attributes and abilities it might be different.

Cannot agree with this in the slightest. He went backwards no more than anyone else - keeping the ball was the emphasis this season.

Not tackling? Absurd. He improved greatly in this department.

As for giving the ball away - again, as did everyone else. It happens. They're not Xavi.

Fair enough.

(SaintsWeb in 'two-people-disagreeing-but-not-needing-to-insult-each-other-or-string-it-out-to-3-pages-of-*****ing' shock.) :)

It could well be that we sign someone who is head and shoulders above Hammond and Cork, to play alongside Morgan and no one would be happier about that than me, but I just have a hunch that Deano will continue to grow and play an important role.

Let's just hope whatever happens, happens for the best of the club ;)

Hammonds missus would have smacked me quite a few times if she was watching that game alongside me!
