The Guide Dog where there were a few hearty renditions of the Woolston Ferry, then up to the Avenue and then finished off in the Cleveland Boy or Bay, can never remember which. Thank God my wife pitched up to get me home in one piece.

Before the game The Park Inn and then the Angel, after the Alfred, Yates, Encore then the Park Inn until late. What an amazing day.

Head is throbbing now mind!

Had a sneaky one in Varsity (most of London Road wasn't letting people in as it was so packed!) then shared a bottle of champagne with my better half on the train to Fratton of all places! We went to see Blood Red Shoes at the Wedgewood Rooms, felt a little odd to leave the city but had an immense day all-round.

Best of all was a skate trying to kick off at Southampton Central because a group of us were singing and chanting! He was being held back with his presumed partner giving it the "It's not worth it!" Of all the days to pitch up in Southampton if you're that over-sensitive...

Varsity London Rd, got absolutely shartfaced on champagne and joined in with quite a lot of Saints songs during the 3pm games, then um, hang on... vaguely recall watching some of Norwich v Liverpool.

Bit vague by then, er, checking mates' Facebook tagging, around 7ish we wandered to Bedford Place, got a kebab from Zorbas at 7:20pm, walked to the Winston, I won £5 on Million Pound Drop on the trivia machine despite being completely bladdered and never having played it before, and back to our mates' to watch the match again and drink and drink and drink (and then watch Match of the Day which I have no recollection of, and the FL Show probably for the last time, which I similarly cannot remember anything about. :)

Varsity was absolutely rocking, we then smashed a bottle of champagne on the train back to Waterloo then caused widespread chaos in the boozers of London Bridge. Top day!

The Avenue. Cracking celebration amid a lot of loyal and very relieved fellow fans. Not doing it at Boro was gutting, but sharing the day with so many Saints made it even better. Staggered off about 10pm for a takeaway... A memorable day.

Gordon Arms in portswood, great atmosphere.

I even got Roy the landlord to wear a saints shirt (he's a dirty scouse fan)

He's got a season ticket at St Mary's though tbf.

We got a bit rowdy and I threw up in my pint.

Happy days.

Only downside was some uppity bird giving us the evil eye.

Birds, eh?

Great pub on a match day, small little place that does great beers, not really for lager drinkers. Won the CAMRA pub of the year. Prefer the Platform Tavern and the Wellington in Freemantle myself but a great pub nonetheless.

Indeed SW11 Saint - can't believe so many on this forum seem to use the "Guide Dog" as a post-match watering hole. It is such an old-fashioned hostelry and you have got to like real ale to appreciate its charms but the landlord and landlady are big fans and it is a nice welcoming place to either drown your sorrows or celebrate 3 points. Len sends his regards!!!! :)

I jumped in the car with my five-year-old daughter and drove for three hours before I got back home to Cornwall and ran around my house like a mad thing. I still can't believe we did it!

Woke up with an aching liver which has only just stared to feel better.
