Cardiff have been dreadful over both games......then again they do this year in and year out in the Play Offs.

I don't think they've necessarily been dreadful, West ham are simply too good for them. They look a league apart, and there's not much Cardiff can do.

Saints, West ham and Reading have been head and shoulders above anyone else this season. The hammers will win easy at Wembley IMO, doesn't matter who they play.

I think Birmingham will give them a tougher test than Blackpool. Vaz Te and co will be too good for Blackpool's shaky defence.

Out of curiosity do the winners of the playoffs get given a trophy and if so why . It's not as if they got automatic promotion . They shouldn't get medals etc

why not?

the teams from 3rd-6th enter a knock out competition for the premier league...it is cup competition..a separate entity from the league

thought you would know that

Going to be even funnier if Fat Sam messes it up now. They've hammered Blackpool twice, would love it if they lose to them.

I dont think they will be playing Blackpool.

It might be a knock out cup dd but in reality it is giving other clubs a second chance for promotion . Do the teams in second place get anything other than a flag ?

did you miss the trophy we got last season?

we will have a trophy for this season too..

Hard luck Cardiff. Can we have Peter Whittingham now please? :-)

I've developed a bit of a vendetta against West Ham this season, on a personal and forum level, so I hope whoever meets them in the final gives them a good game (and possibly wins it) but you can't argue that they're the third best team in the league this season - and they've shown it over the two legs of the play-off. I think Birmingham have the best chance of beating West Ham, and to that end I hope they make it past Blackpool. In Chris Burke, they have one of the best players in the league, and he could be the man to stop West Ham. I like Hughton too, a lot more than I like Holloway, even if he is almost definitely leaving to take the West Brom job.

He's been **** for a while now. He was outclassed in the middle by Noble and Nolan, don't think he'd massively improve us if I'm honest.

and WHU have this sewn up as long as they turn up in the final, I cannot see past them. They've got momentum, the better players and the confidence. If they don't join us then it's a royal cockup in the final.

Kenny Miller has to be one of the most over rated players i've ever seen. How has he ever played in the premier league?

He's pants, can't stand him. He played there with Derby didn't he? and scored all of 1 goal, brilliant.

Pretty useless player and not worth the big wage he supposedly demands.

and Wolves i think.

Wham are one game away from the PL.

Imagine how we would have felt losing to Coventry.

They will be destroyed if Blackpool or Brum do them over.

Will be quite poetic if Gold, Sullivan and Brady are done over by Brum.

LOL at the arrogant Hammers fans on KUMB wanting to play Blackpool.

I reckon they were the best team we played this season, and Holloway is a wily old character with playoff final experience.

Birmingham to me look tired in the Blackpool game after playing something like 61 games and they also have one of the worst keepers in the championship.

Yeah, they do look warn out. They've had a pretty busy season to say the least!

They did have Doyle in goal for the first leg didn't they? What's happened to Boaz Myhill? I think he's one of the better keepers at this level. Doyle is **** though, i'll give you that.

Birmingham at home, only 1 goal down, tired or not I think that will be one close game and I would not bet against the Blues winning.

I am not really sure which team would give the Hammers most problems at Wembley but just have a feeling it would be Birmingham

If neither of them can produce a better display than Cardiff they might as well save everbodies time and money and stay at home.Yesterday's game was a no contest, fortunately for us West Ham had a spell when they couldn't get a home win for love nor money.

Then again if either of us had been able to gain a home win against Reading it would be them in the play-offs.

Top 3 should go up if there's more than a 10 point margin between 3rd and 4th.

Look forward to an answer re a cup/medals for 2nd Place. The Winners of the Play Offs get a cup and medals. I believe all finalists get medals. Coming (a very close) second has got to be better than going up via the Play Offs. What do the 2nd placed team get. (Other than Automatic Promotion)

I saw an official response from the FL a week or so ago, confirming that 2nd placed team in the Championship do not get any medals or trophy.

They get £90m though.

It's a hard one to call tonight. I think Birmingham will edge it and go through.
.

Hope so. Not liked Blackpool since Holloways pathetic outburst at our fans last season.

Just seen a couple of pool fans wearing orange and white traffic cones. I bet our special needs fans will be taking inspiration from that.

pool 2 up on agg. game over. brum look toothless.

How bad does Zigic look by the way? He's 2 miles high in the sky, yet he never wins any headers.

£6m worth of dross.

And he's on huge, huge money.

If Brum lose this game it will probably ruin them. Surely their only chance of a financial reprieve is promotion this year?

I can see them doing what we did/charlton/norwich etc and slipping down another league if they lose this.

Not sure who they'd be able to dump Zigic off onto either....

I work with a few blues season ticket holders, including one who ran a site similar to this, who is convinced that they are fu.cked beyond belief.

Fingers crossed. Are 'pool likely to beat Wet Sham in the final ?

WHU are likely to underestimate them, certainly their arrogant fans will at any rate. Blackpool are playing like a Premier League team, wheras Brum look decidely football league.

They carry the most threat out of any of the teams.

Their wide men will cause anyone problems, and Dobbie is a clever player at this level and always seems to find space. Probably the toughest game WHU could get.
