Thedelldays Posted 27 April, 2012 Posted 27 April, 2012 saturday we welcome a Coventry team with the dreaded SISU at the helm its almost like looking at an alternate reality in seeing what they have done to that club. cov are and have been pretty similar to saints over the years......and look at our fortunes now I see that cov fans are planning a protest saturday against SISU....didnt we join in something similar during the cup game..? would you join in a SISU out chant if we have the game in the bag..?
Noodles34 Posted 27 April, 2012 Posted 27 April, 2012 why? think i would rather make sure we are cheering on our team to a 3 or 4 - 0 win

FFS Why should we worry about them as its not our problem, going to support the boys. Enjoy your SISU out chants dull days.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 27 April, 2012 Posted 27 April, 2012 Yes, I would as long as we are comfortable. I feel sorry for them, unlike the skate pr!cks down the road.
georgeweahscousin Posted 27 April, 2012 Posted 27 April, 2012 I think we should hold some sympathy with them though? Shouldn't we? Could have been us. http://wp.me/p1mFFL-kj
Asaint4ever Posted 27 April, 2012 Posted 27 April, 2012 If we are 2 up! Il join in. I like Coventry fc good club with great fans!
mikee Posted 27 April, 2012 Posted 27 April, 2012 why? think i would rather make sure we are cheering on our team to a 3 or 4 - 0 win How about solidarity with a bunch of decent fellow football fans who find themselves in a terrible position that could have happened to us! doesn't mean we can't cheer on our own team but their is no harm in showing our displeasure at the way organisations like SISU think they can mis-manage football clubs.

This Charming Man Posted 27 April, 2012 Posted 27 April, 2012 Some Coventry fans gave some Saints fan a 'SISU OUT' banner to display in our end at the league game at their place, as they're banned from taking in any anti-SISU banners in the ground. Lasted about 15mins until the stewards removed it. Tomorrow though, I couldn't care less about their plight. I'll have more important things to worry about.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 27 April, 2012 Posted 27 April, 2012 If we're clear and out of sight, promotion nailed on, I could cope with a little SISU out. After all, they've suffered Ken Dulieu like we have.
Midfield_General Posted 27 April, 2012 Posted 27 April, 2012 Read this and feel for them. Phrases like "the club's venture capitalist owners are considering pulling their funding", and its implications, should make any football fan feel sick: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/david-conn-inside-sport-blog/2012/apr/26/coventry-city-relegation There but for the grace of god. I for one feel for them totally. Also, as mentioned on another thread, they seem pretty keen for us to go up instead of Wham.

Everyone likes seeing a 'big club' in trouble and they will be if they fail to go up this season. Only so long they can maintain their level of spending in this league.

Christ, is this attitude necessary ? FWIW, if we are leading comfortably, I think we should join in for the reasons TDD stated. If I were going to be there, I would.

I think it'd be great to show unity with them. Obviously, the main thing is that we win the game, if we do get 3-0 up then join in and help em out! We can still party if we are promoted but we can also wish Coventry well. They will be back and hopefully we will meet in the Prem in a few years time.
saintchris23 Posted 28 April, 2012 Posted 28 April, 2012 Well worth a bump. SISU out - although fwiw Coventry is a concrete jungle and they need more than just new owners to make their life bright and cheery!!
