bjk Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 I can see them scoring and frightening the s hit out of me.I wont relax until we get a 2 goal start.Good luck Saints.
Pilchards Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 My fiancee scares me as she sometimes get's voices... I swear to you that every time she get's them it happens. Basically we will make the playoffs and win them. I don't think I could handle another 3 matches but If it's in the script so be it.
Wiggles31 Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Coventry have won once away all season. It would truly be incredible if the team with the worst away record beats the team with the best home record. It would be like Bolton winnning at Man Utd.
Bearsy Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 2-2 written all over it for me! Reckon we'll be casting nervous glances at the West Ham scoreline!

ThreeSixty Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 How hilarious/terrible/heart attack inducing would it be for us to lose and hull to beat west ham.
bjk Posted 25 April, 2012 Author Posted 25 April, 2012 5 Nil to Saints!! End this nonsense. Cheers Dog,i needed that.
lambertsrightleg Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 This is football. Imagine if Kelvin gets sent off in the first minute. Anything can happen!! But I would say that over the course of the last few games we've had more than enough absolute worldys scored against us
kpturner Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Stop with all this mumbo jumbo and get positive: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?37471-Positive-points-ahead-of-Saturday
Leslie Charteris Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Probably the only people thinking that losing is a possibility are the glass half full lot on here, a few demented WHam fans and the odd Coventry supporter who's had a few too many sherberts. Nobody connected to the team will be even contemplating it. As the Echo article today pointed out, we have been in the top two all season and the team have performed whenever they've needed to stay there. Why would Saturday be any different? I hope some of the doom mongers on here don't play golf - I can imagine their swing thoughts "Don't go in the water, don't go in the water... oh bugger, it's wet!" and what advice will NA be taking from Sun Tzu's The Art of War? BELIEVE! COYR
alpine_saint Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Coventry have won once away all season. It would truly be incredible if the team with the worst away record beats the team with the best home record. In which case, hand-on-heart and no excuse-making, you'd have to say we dont deserve auto promotion anyway.
Frank's cousin Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 STOP IT I do NOT think we will lose, odds on that better than WHU lossing to Hull - YES anything can happen, freak goals, beach balls, bad ref decisons, whatever, and you cant plan for that, all we need to do is play our game, relax and take them apart as we have done to teams more often than not this season. COYR
up and away Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 If you had to pick one team from the whole championship to get a result against for automatic promotion, who would it be? For me it's Coventry for the following reasons. Relegated from the Chapionship in just their last game Back biting and in fighting at the club is now fully in the open I really doubt there is any motivation for the away trip to Saints Won only one away game all season and playing away Their style of play suits Saints better than the other bottom clubs It does not follow that Coventry will just give us the points, but I do believe they represent our best chance.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 No I don't. I think we'll be 2 up within 15 minutes and they'll be demanding an "investigation" on the KUMB shortly afterwards.
Viking Warrior Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Yes we will lose . That will make the negative few on here happy and perhaps they will evaporate into the atmosphere or jump of the itchen . For me I'm going for a 5 - 1 victory
Jack Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Southampton 3-1 Leeds Southampton 4-1 Birmingham Southampton 3-0 Middlesbrough Southampton 3-0 Brighton Southampton 4-0 Watford Southampton 4-0 Derby Southampton 2-0 Donny Southampton 2-0 Barnsley That's just a few comfortable results off the top of my head. We'll be fine. 4-0 Lambert (3), Cork.
Eddie Lizzard Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Sky obviously think West Ham will miss out. That's why Geoff Shreeves will be there, ready to strike at the final whistle.
scotty Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Nervy 3 -1, first Saints goal after 20 mins (Sharp) followed by a 46th minute injury time equaliser for Cov. West Ham 2-0 up at half time. Loads of Cov pressure second half, hitting the bar, SKD wonder save to keep us in it, WHU go 3 up then 4, followed by two late goals from Rickie to seal it. Havent a clue, really.
Dalek2003 Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 No I don't. But we will be in the play offs, so no time for depression if we do miss out !
View From The Top Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 I can't see beyond a comfortable Saints win.
Badger Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Lose - no. But I fear a good afternoon of chances going begging time after time...
Monkou Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Think we will win 2-0, maybe 3. Are we a better side than coventry - obviously. Are we a better side than West Ham - in my opinion, yes and by a lot more than 2 points. Think an early goal will settle the nerves and we will cruise it. Some of the negativity is amazing on this board - its like being in the kingsland stand.
SNSUN Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 I was trying to explain our situation to a colleague at work today. I went with a rule of percentages. I said that we had a 95% chance of winning, based on the current stature of the clubs, available playing staff and talent, discipline of our team, and what's at stake. I gave Coventry a 5% chance of winning, which would be a freak result akin to our victory at Leeds a few weeks ago, where the home team batters the opposition for 89 and a half minutes, but the away team score that all important goal. It would be awful if we take anything for granted, but I do think we'll be ready to go, half twelve on Saturday, and we won't let up until the game is won. Let's go up, and let's do it in style. 6-0 please. (Up yours West Ham.)
shurlock Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 Coventry have won once away all season. It would truly be incredible if the team with the worst away record beats the team with the best home record. It would be like Bolton winnning at Man Utd. Or Blackburn winning at Old Trafford...
S-Clarke Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 People are panicking way too much about this game. We won't even need to play at top level to beat them, but if we do which I think we will then they'll not know what's hit them. We have nothing to worry about, enjoy the buildup and enjoy the celebrations at 3pm on Saturday.

S-Clarke Posted 25 April, 2012 Posted 25 April, 2012 A bit like what people were saying this time last week then...? ;-) I thought we'd do better if I'm honest, but the problem we had was the Cardiff - Leeds result. That gave M'Boro some real belief and they pushed us to the max. We didn't play badly but they didn't allow us to exert our quality. Frustrating, but that game was an example of 2 teams going hammer and tong at a target - one with 1 last chance, and another team who subconsciously in the back of their minds knew they had another chance whatever happend. - we came unstuck due to a sloppy bit of play, but we could have still won it if we were more professional. Saturday will be a totally different game, Coventry will not be as driven or as motivated. They may play with some freedom but as long as we play as we can then I can't see how they'll deal with us to be honest, and as I said I don't even think we'll need to play at the top of our game to cause them problems.
