Do Coventry owe us one

Historically last games of the season in the past old first divisions/premiership would have seen Saints and Coventry in the bottom 6. Have any of our results kept Coventry up or sent them down. I am sure i remember playing Spurs at WHL many a season ago and we drew sending Coventry down, is this correct.

I'm sure it'll be at the back of all their players minds before kick off on Saturday that they should roll over for us because in 1993 or something we beat Luton and it meant they stayed up or something.

Certainly cannot remember that. They only got relegated in 2001 when we finished 10th.

I've always seen Coventry as a kind of sister club. Decades in the prem, year on year avoiding the drop and both wearing the same kit between 1987 & 1989

I've mentioned this before on this forum. In one episode of Channon and Ball, Mick Channon told how Saints kept Coventry in the top flight one year as half the Saints players were "On their side" in the last game of the season. I was horrified when i heard that, but I'll happily call in that favour now!!

Good one, we owe them loads for that but seeing as any result for them doesn't matter we'll pay them back another time. We have given them a televised and exciting game, does that count?
