Who will be our hero baby?

Who will kiss away our pain?

We're going to win on Saturday. It's obvious. (For the purposes of this thread at least...) So two questions to you - 1) Who do you WANT to be our hero, be it with a MOTM performance or a winning goal or suchlike, and 2) Who do you think WILL be our hero?

Any random players? Any non-Saints players? Any manager instead of a player?

For me, I would love Jos to be our hero with another goal from a corner. 8 for the season for a centre back would be immense, he'll have earned it. I do however think Sharp will be our hero, he's on a good run of goalscoring form.

Guly.

He's been rested now for a few games for the first time this season. He was one of the few players who wasn't rotated and for all the moans about his technique it was also clear he was knackered physically and mentally.

Nige has a pretty clear choice in MF Cork Morgan Hammond Lallana from the start or Hammond on the bench with Guly on the right.

Whichever he goes with Guly will probably get some match time.

I just HOPE TO HELL and BACK that Guly's hero moment is early in the game..... and sets us on our way for 85 minutes of partying......

Rather than a Deby Playoff OG off his arse moment

Hopefully

Would love it to be Billy , had a shakey start with us but is growing with every game and it obviously means an awful lot to him , how many yellows has he got celebrating now? He showed his Tatt against Boro so the man is still hurting.

If he wasn't out injured I would have said Lee as I really think he is an exciting prospect

i placed a bet when punch came back that he would score our promotion winning goal. now with chappers out he may get a shout.

personally i would love either rickie or adam to do it, but i would take anything, an own goal, a deflection off a pigeon anything.

its one of the biggest 90+ mins in saints history and we must roar them on to victory, as with our support to calm the players nerves so they can go out and perform to their best, we can and will do this.

in the words of nigel 'together as one'

Rickie Lambert will fulfill his prophecy and take us to the Premier League' date=' whilst getting the ball, taking the p!ss and wearing the shirt of Matt Le Tiss.[/quote']

I can't wait to sing "He's taken us to the Premier League" instead of "He'll take us to the Premier League."

You're thinking of Forte.

I think Jose Fonte will get the vital goal and celebrate like he did at Brighton last season.

You are so right, I read it as Forte and wrote some snide comment about scoring all the way from Preston being a miracle goal of the millenium or something. Then I saw what I'd done and scrubbed it for a zip.

I wondered how he took a post of "zip" to mean that you must be thinking of Forte

Would love Sharp to get the 1st goal and Lambo to get the goal (2nd) that effectively seals our promotion to the Prem. THEN I'd like to see Lallana, Spiderman and Corky all get one to wrap up an incredible last hoorah in the NPC.

Unfortunately it just ain't gonna be like that I fear. There's far too many on here counting far too many chickens.

After various injuries, Jaidi comes on from the bench on 90 minutes with the scores level at 1-1 and West Ham winning 4-0. He picks the ball up in his own half in the 96th minute and instead of punting it forward, takes it past 8 Coventry players before smashing the hardest shot ever seen against the crossbar. It bounces down onto the left post, bounces up along the line to hit the right and hits Guly in the face, going in the net to send us absolutely mental.....

...because he's offside.

He still has his 30 league goals target to reach - what better way than a Promotion winning Hat Trick.
