SNSUN Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Who will kiss away our pain? We're going to win on Saturday. It's obvious. (For the purposes of this thread at least...) So two questions to you - 1) Who do you WANT to be our hero, be it with a MOTM performance or a winning goal or suchlike, and 2) Who do you think WILL be our hero? Any random players? Any non-Saints players? Any manager instead of a player? For me, I would love Jos to be our hero with another goal from a corner. 8 for the season for a centre back would be immense, he'll have earned it. I do however think Sharp will be our hero, he's on a good run of goalscoring form.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Guly.... I'd love to see Jos do it though.
Graffito Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Has to be Southampton's Goal Machine. At this stage in his career he must want promotion so badly. Think he'll score two. Second will be a pen. Sharp will get the other.
S-Clarke Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Lambert will score a hat-trick to hit 30 league goals in the championship.
Jack Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Lambert hattrick. 30 league goals for the season, with the 3rd being a 25 yard bullet free kick in off the post. Picks up his 2nd yellow for jumping into the Northam to celebrate.
Legod Third Coming Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 one at each end ? Yep first half and second half and people will eat humble pie - plates of it.
Saint137 Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 With all he has been through this year, Billy Sharp. Or, in the event that he plays, an Aaron Martin bullet header /local hero
Deano6 Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Tommy Fourpast can have one bounce in off his arse for all I care...I want PROMOTION!!
Saint_clark Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 A 3-0 win with Lambert, Sharp and Lallana getting the goals would be the "fairytale" scenario.
Thedelldays Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Yep first half and second half and people will eat humble pie - plates of it. Will not make his form for the past few months any better
Crazy Diamond Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Kelvin Davis either ****s it from his own penalty area or scores using his head from a 95th minute corner.
alpine_saint Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Guly, after all the sh*t he's had this season. Or Billy after the pain hes been through.
doddisalegend Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Guly to score a hattrick and a couple of goals from sub Dan Harding..... and I'd still come on here and read that they are two of the worst players to ever put on a saints shirt
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Rickie Lambert will fulfill his prophecy and take us to the Premier League, whilst getting the ball, taking the p!ss and wearing the shirt of Matt Le Tiss.
fareham saint phil Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Rickie Lambert will fulfill his prophecy and take us to the Premier League' date=' whilst getting the ball, taking the p!ss and wearing the shirt of Matt Le Tiss.[/quote'] This!!!! After his season it would be the perfect end to it
dubai_phil Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Guly. He's been rested now for a few games for the first time this season. He was one of the few players who wasn't rotated and for all the moans about his technique it was also clear he was knackered physically and mentally. Nige has a pretty clear choice in MF Cork Morgan Hammond Lallana from the start or Hammond on the bench with Guly on the right. Whichever he goes with Guly will probably get some match time. I just HOPE TO HELL and BACK that Guly's hero moment is early in the game..... and sets us on our way for 85 minutes of partying...... Rather than a Deby Playoff OG off his arse moment Hopefully
sussexsaint Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Would love it to be Billy , had a shakey start with us but is growing with every game and it obviously means an awful lot to him , how many yellows has he got celebrating now? He showed his Tatt against Boro so the man is still hurting. If he wasn't out injured I would have said Lee as I really think he is an exciting prospect
Genk Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Corky is going to put a season of miserable shots behind him and score a 30 yard screamer. He scored in one of the first pre-season games, so surely its written for him to score in the last!
saintalton Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 i placed a bet when punch came back that he would score our promotion winning goal. now with chappers out he may get a shout. personally i would love either rickie or adam to do it, but i would take anything, an own goal, a deflection off a pigeon anything. its one of the biggest 90+ mins in saints history and we must roar them on to victory, as with our support to calm the players nerves so they can go out and perform to their best, we can and will do this. in the words of nigel 'together as one'
saintbob40 Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 According to my dream last night we go one up through a penalty (SRL) followed by an over elaborate goal celebration which sends SMS into raptures of joy. Then I woke up. I will try and lucid dream my way into the second half tonight.
beavis17 Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Rickie Lambert will fulfill his prophecy and take us to the Premier League' date=' whilst getting the ball, taking the p!ss and wearing the shirt of Matt Le Tiss.[/quote'] I can't wait to sing "He's taken us to the Premier League" instead of "He'll take us to the Premier League."
Turkish Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 I hope it's Guly, to shut all you moaning c*nts up.
Window Cleaner Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 1-0 down in stoppage time. Guly brace. OK with Guly being the hero, not in stoppage time though,he'll probably start so whether he'd still be on after 90 minutes is sort of debateable. Think Fonte will open the scoring myself.
Thedelldays Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 sharp will probably score....in his groove now
carljack Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Billy Sharp looks like a man on a Mission atm. Can see him scoring a couple.
NorthamSteve Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 I'd love to see Spiderman get a goal. He's an amazing player, just doesn't score enough. But to get the one that gets us up would be fantastic. Having said that I'd take one that goes in off of their keepers backside.
NorthamSteve Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 1-0 down in stoppage time. Guly brace. If we're one down in stoppage time, I'm coming to find you.
Window Cleaner Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Yago Falque hat trick doubt if he's even still here.Maybe we're saving him for the play-offs that we won't be in.
SimonRichards Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 zip You're thinking of Forte. I think Jose Fonte will get the vital goal and celebrate like he did at Brighton last season.
Window Cleaner Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 You're thinking of Forte. I think Jose Fonte will get the vital goal and celebrate like he did at Brighton last season. You are so right, I read it as Forte and wrote some snide comment about scoring all the way from Preston being a miracle goal of the millenium or something. Then I saw what I'd done and scrubbed it for a zip.
kpturner Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 You are so right, I read it as Forte and wrote some snide comment about scoring all the way from Preston being a miracle goal of the millenium or something. Then I saw what I'd done and scrubbed it for a zip.I wondered how he took a post of "zip" to mean that you must be thinking of Forte
Window Cleaner Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 I wondered how he took a post of "zip" to mean that you must be thinking of Forte Must be one of these people who draws their finger across their mouth (like me) and says ZIP when they realise they've said something stupid.
Stevie B Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Would love it to be guly the amount of ****e he gets every game
Saint Fan CaM Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Would love Sharp to get the 1st goal and Lambo to get the goal (2nd) that effectively seals our promotion to the Prem. THEN I'd like to see Lallana, Spiderman and Corky all get one to wrap up an incredible last hoorah in the NPC. Unfortunately it just ain't gonna be like that I fear. There's far too many on here counting far too many chickens.
Saint_lambden Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 After various injuries, Jaidi comes on from the bench on 90 minutes with the scores level at 1-1 and West Ham winning 4-0. He picks the ball up in his own half in the 96th minute and instead of punting it forward, takes it past 8 Coventry players before smashing the hardest shot ever seen against the crossbar. It bounces down onto the left post, bounces up along the line to hit the right and hits Guly in the face, going in the net to send us absolutely mental..... ...because he's offside.
ericofarabia Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Rickie Lambert will fulfill his prophecy and take us to the Premier League' date=' whilst getting the ball, taking the p!ss and wearing the shirt of Matt Le Tiss.[/quote'] He still has his 30 league goals target to reach - what better way than a Promotion winning Hat Trick. Championship Player of The Year - You Bet Your Sweet Ass Baby.
paulwantsapint Posted 24 April, 2012 Posted 24 April, 2012 Rahdi the rock header from half way Will settle for the scrappiest goal ever the sort that anyone on the pitch could have scored & everyone in a saints shirt tries to claim
