Is it not possible to hold off the infractions / bans for a few days ? Everybody is on an edge and writing stupid things due to the pressure.

 

Dear oh dear, a bit of tension is an excuse for turning into a neanderthal nowadays.How would all these people hold up in a real time of crisis. Don't encourage them Alps,they don't need much you know.

Me too, this is exactly what football is all about.

 

Frankly I'm happy Wham won as it means that we will have to clinch it on Sat. The joy of sport comes from overcoming the challenge.

 

If you'd have asked me to pick a team to play at home for promotion I would have picked Cov. They have nothing to play for, have no really dangerous players and have no animosity against us.

 

Looking forward to Sat and a beer (or two) x( whilst watching us tear Cov a new one.

 

Don't worry, in 5 days time SFC will be a prem team................and then you can all start worrying about relegation next season :lol:

And that is how I feel. Too long a Saints fan to expect everything to go swimmingly!

 

Was asked quite a while ago by a few colleagues at work did I feel we would be promoted - my answer was yes but it'll go to the last game.

 

As to the OP about not infracting people because its an emotional time - do behave. Its like asking Mr Plod to let a misdemeanour go because its an emotional time - yeah right.

Its too late to do much about Saturday's game. Adkins can only pick from the squad he has, and although 3 defeats in the last 6 games doesn't look too good, they have been against sides significantlky stronger than Coventry. So this has to be broadly the same settled side that has been almost picking itself, that does have some weaknesses such as RMF, CB, FB but it is still in a different class to Saturday's opposition. Much as Wet Spam make noises off, the fact is that this is our Play-Off Cup Final only we aren't playing a top-six team, or on a neutral ground, so we have every advantage. So, its too late to do much about Saturday's game except to play it but looking at the two teams and playing at St Mary's anything other than a clear win is just not conceiveable.

I just want to see the damage done by Rupert Lowe repaired. We were stable PL without any serious possibility of CL before he turned up, so thats enough to satisfy me. Which is why a few weeks ago I started a thread called "Closure" to ask when people felt the damage he did was healed, to which my opinion was once we have demonstrated the ability to stay up once we got back to the PL, as before relegation (hopefully summer 2013).

IMO, the damage was removed when he left. The damage being the debt. Yes, we were two leagues below that of where we were but in a much better position, structurally and financially.

Personally I think that if Mr Alpine needs this forum to vent, (19,000+ posts) then that's fair enough. It's probably doing him some good, and if he wasn't able to post here he might be a right miserable barsteward in real life !

I'll support Saints whatever division they're in, it's not about £100 million riding on it or anything else other than my team doing well. For me it's unbelievable in so many ways that we're facing a match on the last day of the season that can determine whether we go up to the PL rather than go down to whichever of the leagues that has been below us and I'm counting my blessings.

 

If you can't cope you'd be doing this forum a massive favour by taking your depressive and illogical negativity right out of the equation by staying away...Saturday of all days!
