St Lej Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 As per Alpine's prediction on another thread, would anyone settle for this should we end up in the play offs? If at the start of the season anyone had said to me we'd end up in the play-offs but get butt-****ed by Cardiff, i would have gladly taken that.....so maybe in the context of the whole season this wouldn't be seen as too much of a bad thing. We'd just better make sure we remember our lube.
This Charming Man Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Having been in the top 2 for the entire season, dropping out of it and into the play-offs on the last day of the season would be nothing short of a disaster. Sure I would've bitten someone's hand off if they offered that to me at the start of the season. But with the way things have gone, I'd now be devastated if that happened.
kpturner Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Why would anyone settle for being butt ****ed by Cardiff in the play-offs? I would settle for having to go up via the play-offs if we have to - but not to lose to Cardiff in the final or semi-final.
Midfield_General Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 You're asking whether people would want us to drop out of the automatics and lose in the play-offs? Hmmm, just let me look it up on http://www.takeareallywildguess.com
St Marco Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 I never understand that whole "if anyone told us at the start of the season" thing. So much has happened in the 10 months since then. We have spent a **** load on players this season. Fox,cork, jos, sharp,de ridder, lee, etc. Around £6m-£7m on players added to an already talented squad. With the squad we have we should be pushing for promotion and we have been. To do as well as we have all year then to get beat by any of the teams in the playoffs would be massively disappointing. It would be seen as huge failure and would overshadow us next year big time. For everything to remain positive we have to go up this season and we will tonight hopefully.
alpine_saint Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Idiot thread asking idiotic question by idiotic poster trying to score idiotic brownie points.

After being top 2 for 45 games, losing in the play-offs will be viewed by history as nothing short of a complete catastrophe.
graveworm Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Well a major disappointment at the very least, if it was to be the playoffs........ We will make it automatically no problem
eurosaint Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Idiot thread asking idiotic question by idiotic poster trying to score idiotic brownie points. You don't like competition then, eh ??
Noodles34 Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Idiot thread asking idiotic question by idiotic poster trying to score idiotic brownie points. yeah, rings a bell..
buctootim Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 "Butt-****ed by Cardiff in play offs" Is that the consolation prize for not getting promoted?
jjsaint Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 Here's an interesting question. If we are butt****ed by Cardiff in the playoffs, would this be the most disastrous ****-up of its kind in recent memory? I seem to remember Wolves snatching defeat from the jaws of victory about 10 years ago...
hypochondriac Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 If we finish thirdd now it will be a terrible collapse.

I'd say that would take some topping.
Torrent Of Abuse Posted 23 April, 2012 Posted 23 April, 2012 We won't get ****-****ed in the playoffs if we rest everyone for the next game to keep them fresh for the playoff games.
