Proud of manager and players

I think we have done a great job over last few years. Adkins took over when we were 18th in div 1. We now are one victory off being in premier league. I feel Davis, jos, Morgan, Lallana and lambert are good enough for prem. what a great great effort. Proud of saints. We have great great fans and what feet numbers. Four home sell outs in a row to be nearly averaging 27k in championship. Love it.

It is a great effort and it will be a great achievement, but the players Pardew bought in L1 were with this in mind IMO....we kind of built for this level in L1, but still it's a wonderful achievement with what we're doing and Adkins has managed it superbly - but I still think Pardew should take a bit of credit in it.

I find it mad that we have fans saying things like ''Sack davis and Fonte, not good enough'' - they quite clearly are, as they've shown all season long. We're a good team but we will need to add to it if we are to make a mark in the premiership, and I'm sure Adkins and Co know that - and I'd imagine work goes on right now identifying ambitious targets to match our ambitious chairman.

Next Saturday will be magic and who'd have thought, 2 years ago we beat Southend at home on the last day to achieve 7th in L1 - 2 years on we need to beat Coventry at home to regain a place in the premier league. A remarkable rise and lots of people need to take credit for it. It's been a huge team effort.

I don't get fans crap attitudes

When Man U lost at home to blackburn earlier in the season, did all their fans call the team bottles and slag them off?

Also don't get the suggestion that saints always make things difficult.

The only constant over the last 20 years is the fans. Not the chairman, manager or Players. So if their is an issue with lack of staying power it can only rest in one place (or be imagined bullsh1t)

The great thing these days is the players want success as much as the supporters.

No journeyman here taking a ludicrous salary for going through the motions, like the last season in the Premiership and the pre -Liebherr Cortese takeover, with particular reference to Burley's signings.

At the post match interview yesterday I've never been so proud to be a saints fan, finally we have an honest, humble and more importantly a manager that has class by the (his words) bus load what a credit to our massive club #togetherwestand !!!

Could not of dreamt of us doing this well. If I was to say to someone at the start of last season that we will go into he last home game of the season at home and a win would see us into the premier league, they would have laughed.

So proud to be a Southampton fan, always have been even in the depths of league 1, still proud to let people know I support a great club.

Cannot wait to be up with the big boys again next season.

Whatever happens on Saturday, these last three seasons have been some of the most enjoyable I've witnessed. There's an optimism and ambition about the club that is reminiscent of (and in my opinion, exceeds) that of the Keegan signing era. So proud to call myself a Saints fan.
