In August if you had been offered the chance to go up on the last day of the season would you have taken it??? I ferkin would've!!!
Thedelldays Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 saints usually DO last day of the season thingies
Window Cleaner Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 of course they will, promotion is just a case of when and not if.
SNSUN Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 Fingers crossed it won't come to the last day. This. Could be all over on Monday, supping some vino at home whilst watching the Leicester/West Ham game, and cheering Leicester on. (Knowing I win £625 for a West Ham win will be small comfort if it happens.)
Belsey23 Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 Billy Sharp was playing for Sheff U when we beat them to stay up!

In August if you had been offered the chance to go up on the last day of the season would you have taken it??? I ferkin would've!!! Bloody hell, you forget what a threat Le Tiss was, we don't have anyone who would try most of what he did in that game, and I'm not sure that there are many better players in the Prem at the moment. 2nd goal was all about commitment - CMFG putting his foot in and Marian sticking his head in. Missed that game because I was away working, first time I've seen the highlights
St Chalet Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 I was at Man Utd relegation, we didn't turn up that day.
Thedelldays Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 I was at Man Utd relegation, we didn't turn up that day. I thought we did...went 1-0 up and lost 2-1 to a brilliant team
St Chalet Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 Once we went 2-1 down we gave up (my opinion), very little passion from anywhere.
obelisk Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 I was at Man Utd relegation, we didn't turn up that day.Yep. Was there for that. ManUre weren't really interested and would have rolled over if Saints had applied anything like the commitment of the Pahars team v Everton.
CLOTH EARS Posted 22 April, 2012 Author Posted 22 April, 2012 I remember the day of the great escape win over Everton in 99' like it was yesterday! The celebrations after the win was something special. We went back to the Giddy Bridge after the game and it was packed both inside out out the front of the pub, loads of singing and beeping horns from cars who came along London Road. We stayed in there for hours after the game and i don't mind telling you that i was as hoarse as f--k and totally ******ed by the end of the day! Next weekend will be a special day just like that day in 99'. BRING IT ON!!!
CLOTH EARS Posted 22 April, 2012 Author Posted 22 April, 2012 I was at Man Utd relegation, we didn't turn up that day. I see that you're a 'My glass is half empty' type of guy !?
Lazlo78 Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 (edited) After Posh we had four "match balls": - Win against Boro (didn't work out sadly) - WHam fail to win against Leicester - Win against Coventry - WHam fail to win against Hull We still have three match balls and one of them is down to our own performance - two of them are down to West Ham's. We are going to finish 2nd one way or the other! Edited 22 April, 2012 by Lazlo78 Birmingham replaced with Hull ;-)

Lazlo78 Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 Well we already know 100% that they are not going to win against Birmingham True that. The Birmingham game is suddenly not so interesting anymore :-/
kpturner Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 True that. The Birmingham game is suddenly not so interesting anymore :-/How do you reckon they will do against Hull? Oh - you edited it I see
jjsaint Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 It would take an unusual stroke of bad luck for us to finish third. I'm only nervous because I support Saints - I'm sure Wham supporters think they have no chance.

kpturner Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 You must time you cockiness better My missus says the exact same thing.

Reading KUMB, one poster asked if they could actually do it and got shot down in flames - in a humorous way a la "possessing such optimism you must be young" So basically, they are ready for the playoff and so are we?!
brett24 Posted 22 April, 2012 Posted 22 April, 2012 Think we should all prepare for it to come to the last game of the season. West Ham are going to win their next two. Going to be amazing on Saturday, cannot wait.
