stardustonmyfeet Posted 21 April, 2012 Share Posted 21 April, 2012 What has been our record for tv games this season? For someone who can't get to many games it must have felt like we've been battling relegation rather than fighting for the title. Of course it'll be lovely getting used to that feeling again in anticipation of next season.

CB Fry Posted 21 April, 2012 Share Posted 21 April, 2012 Even a point would have pretty much ruled out the chance of WHU going into second at any point during next Saturday's game. Now, assuming they win on Monday (they may still blow it) they can go an early goal up next week and be second "as it stands". That, my friends, is hell on earth. But I think we'll still do it. We have the perfect opponents so really we should finish the job.

Flyer Posted 22 April, 2012 Share Posted 22 April, 2012 The only way it wont be on TV is if Saints are already promoted due to WHU losing tomorrow so then a loss wont matter. If WHU win, its nailed on to be shown. They should only show the title winners if thats still in doubt, Readings game is a nothing match and its not even at home so it wont be a big celebration. ant Posted 22 April, 2012 Share Posted 22 April, 2012 It's the odd kick off times which seem to have a detrimental affect on Saints rather than being on tv. Exactly this, noticed the pattern around Christmas when we had an extended period of unconvential fixtures. Saturday 3pm and Tuesday 7.45pm games almost always seem to go our way. Whether that has a root cause in our preparations or is purely a coincidence I have no idea. But yes, there's still more than enough chance to put this to bed. ART Posted 22 April, 2012 Share Posted 22 April, 2012 If SKY is the problem then no need getting promotion to the Premiership. Every game will be televised so we're sunk before next season starts so the Stadium will be empty too.
Saint_lambden Posted 22 April, 2012 Share Posted 22 April, 2012 I really doubt that it'll matter that we're on the tv or not for this one. It's such a big game that all the attention will be on us either way - so it'll make no difference to the players. It shouldn't be an excuse anyhow. COYR. Worrying it is now in the players head, that they cant perform on tv. Also final note since we were last in the PL, every match is televised now live somewhere in the world... gotta sort it out before next year or we will be truly f**ked

One on Sky, and one on BBC - but they will be broadcast with the 12:30 kick off time too. It wouldn't be fair to have games kicking off at all sorts of times on the last day, when so much can be decided.

Of all the matches to plan your life around it is the easiest as every single fixture always kicks off at the same time.
