rog Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 An earlier thread was trying to establish this I think but seemed to get hijacked so all I am asking is... As a season ticket holder who is not travelling to ther Riverside but is in Southampton, which pub would people recommend to enjoy the screening and promotion tomorrow? Answers on a postcard er no here please...
53andout Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Try the Osborne bottom of Shirley High Street Normally a good crowd and a very friendly traditional pub
saints_is_the_south Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Osborne is a good shout. It does get very busy on home match days though and can be a bit of a wait on drinks, don't know what it will be like tomorrow though.
adzamazing Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 The George in Fair Oak. Always full of saints fans, will be buzzing tomorrow. Also have a great band on at 9!
rog Posted 20 April, 2012 Author Posted 20 April, 2012 Thanks peeps, feels like getting ready for a cup final!
sfc1971 Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 there won`t be a better venue than the saints in Millbrook to take in a good atmosphere, But take a few quid because if we win it will be a late one.
Turkish Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Obviously the Alex in town or the Saint in Millbrook FFS
SuperMikey Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Obviously the Alex in town or the Saint in Millbrook FFS It's either the Alex or KA for me tomorrow. Will we bump into each other?
SaintBobby Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Help needed here too. STH who can't get to the Boro game. Live in London. Want to come down to Southampton for the game...where to go? (usually just drink at Encore, Slug & L or King Alfred's pre & post)
fish fingers Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Saints web promotion party in the Alex. Shall we wear name badges?
DaveyR Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Saints web promotion party in the Alex. Shall we wear name badges? Maybe we should sort out a promotion party boat down the river itchen?
NickG Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Any recommendations around docks / West Quay end of town? Meeting someone who is being dropped down there and want to drag them to somewhere with the game? Want decent size screen. Thanks!
ant Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Always The Alex for me too. Ooh, I've probably 'met' some of you without realising, how very exciting. NickG, try Wahoo on the high street. Normally have a pretty big projector on in there or there's a ton of screens if not.
sotonjoe Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Does Walkabout still exist? have sky? Walkabout is now Wahoo (not sure of the spelling) but it offers the same big screen with lots of standing space as it used to. We're ditching the Alex today and going to Wahoo instead in a genius tactical decision. The Alex is a great pub but very hard to get a good view unless you blag one of the very few good tables.
