sotonjoe Posted 19 April, 2012 Posted 19 April, 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-17767236 Can't help thinking the club have gone a bit ott with this. He's only found the pictures by playing around on their website and he's only released the pictures a few hours before the kit was actually unveiled. I wonder how Saints would have reacted under the same circumstances?
ThreeSixty Posted 19 April, 2012 Posted 19 April, 2012 You would wake up with a horses head in your bed.
buctootim Posted 19 April, 2012 Posted 19 April, 2012 Bit of a pathetic reaction imo. The new kit is yellow and green and the sponsor is Aviva (formerly t/a Norwich Union). Hardly an earthshaker is it?
sotonjoe Posted 19 April, 2012 Author Posted 19 April, 2012 You would wake up with a horses head in your bed. I think you're probably right. The link already says that Norwich rang the kid up at 4:30am.

I wonder how Saints would have reacted under the same circumstances? I have to say that I usually like NCFC - but in this instance they should be ashamed of themselves. If they are complaining because they put the info up on their website, and someone found it, then they have only themselves to blame. So long as the kid didn't go any hacking, then they don't have a leg to stand on and it's their own website people that they should be looking at.
Saint137 Posted 19 April, 2012 Posted 19 April, 2012 In the technology world, particularly cameras this goes on all the time, to the point that the companies deliberately leak stuff to increase coverage. Under the Computer Misuse Act he's done nothing wrong, a website is a publically accessible system.
Dr Who? Posted 19 April, 2012 Posted 19 April, 2012 It looks the same as the current season. Also they have released it a bit early.... 5 games left this season.

Under the Computer Misuse Act he's done nothing wrong, a website is a publically accessible system. If he managed to get hold of the pictures they must have been online - there were just no links to them yet. Will Norwich claim that he has done something illegal in locating the pictures without a link?
sotonjoe Posted 19 April, 2012 Author Posted 19 April, 2012 I think the issue of whether or not any 'hacking' has taken place is key, but from the original article it doesn't seems as that is the case. Norwich's complaint seems to be that he stole and then shared their private property, but then it was them who effectively left it out in the open. Another important way of looking at it is to wonder how many people would have done the same as the kid if they'd found themselves in his situation, and I bet virtually all of us would have!
