The deal has been going on for 6 months and took 3 to reach an agreement. They didnt look like they were going up 6 months ago, so I imagine the deal has changed again now anyway. As for jw telling them to go away.... He has been trying to sell the club for years.

Madejski has said in the press that he won't be renegotiating, saying "a deal is a deal". I suspect he's just desperate to take the responsibility off his shoulders now.

Madjeski has also said in the past, that he will not be putting any more money into the club as he has put in enough over the years. Hence the wish to sell. If the deal with the Ruskies falls through, I guess Reading will not be buying any players then.

I would suspect that the Promotion to the Premier League has bought Madejski time, the TV money will support the club better then he ever realistically could and the profile of the club will be raised in the eyes of any other potential buyers. If the Ruskies are charlatans then no bother, next please!

I work with a Reding "fan" who has just bought a season ticket for next season. He thought Reading would be in the Champions League next year as they won the Championship!!

 

Made me chuckle. Talk about plastic fans!! He openly admits he is only interested in going to see Man Utd, Chelsea etc.
