Saint Garrett Posted 18 April, 2012 Posted 18 April, 2012 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11688/7682427/Chase-on-for-Hatters-teen Sky Sports sources understand numerous Championship clubs are lining up a move for Luton Town teenager Alex Lacey. Lacey is out of contract at the end of the season and it is understood that up to six teams are ready to hand the 18-year-old the chance to move into the Football League ranks. Burnley and Southampton are thought to be leading the chase for the defender, who made his debut for the Hatters as a 17-year-old last season. The cultured centre-back has featured in numerous Cup games for Luton this season and is currently out on loan at Eastbourne Borough, where he has impressed in recent games. Despite Lacey's contract with the Hatters expiring this summer, Luton will be due a small level of compensation as the player is under 24.
SuperMikey Posted 18 April, 2012 Posted 18 April, 2012 Definitely looking to the future then, having signed Gallagher and looking at Lacey (amongst others I presume). Good to see we're planning ahead.
